Has anyone replaced the air con compressor on their celsior. The one I had on my celsior would not hold pressure so I got a second hand compressor from a soarer. Only this different seems that the soarer compressor has the sensor at the front of the compressor but the soarer one has it at the back.
Installed the soarer one today but the clutch engages and then cuts outs after a few seconds. I was told the one I bought worked 100%.
Is there something I need to modify on the soarer one to make it work?

I see that you have a Celsior but the problem seems to be that you've fitted a compressor without the speed sensor into a car that requires one. The problem I have is that I was under the impression that Celsiors didn't have that speed sensor fitted to their a/c compressors. If I'm wrong in that assumption then that could be the problem you have. It should have been obvious to the person doing the job as there would be a spare cable at the engine side with nothing to connect to at the compressor. There again it may be that the two cables are there and just need connecting.

Seems the soarer compressor needs a speed sensor input which the stock celsior ones does not have so it keeps cutting out the clutch coz it cant sense what rpm the motor is doing so it cuts out.
Looks like I will need a replacement off a celsior or rebuild mine.

Well for anyone that is told 'hey its the same engine as the soarer so it will work on your celsior' dont believe them as it will fit but wont work properly as the speed sensors are different so the clutch keeps cutting out after a few seconds when you turn the ac on. Wasted $80 of gas on it also!!!
I had to get mine rebuilt for $500 with new bearings seals etc. So got a soarer compressor for sale which is up in the for sale section.
