Hey peoples, this morning i had an unfortunate incident and nearly ripped the front bumper off my car. It didn't come off completely but it cracked and ruined a whole lot of the spoiler and i was wondering where people in Adelaide go to get they're fibreglass bodykits fixed, if anyone here has any suggestions/recommendations it would be much appreciated.

Firstly, Welcome.

I'd say depending on your front bar, it may be almost the same cost to get a new one + spraying (if it's readily available). My girlfriend used to have a lancer with Evo kit, unfortunately she had a little mis-hap and quotes were comparable from fixing it to a getting band spanka. Plus with a new one you'll have no stress fractures in the fibreglass.

Personally i'd get some fibreglass & resin (SuperCheap Auto sells kits), high fill it behind the damaged points (reinforced with wire mesh), fix the visible cracks on the frond with filler, get it sprayed and save a few $$$.
I wouldn't fibreglass any of the front as once the epoxy resin is dry meer sanding isn't enough, an angle grinder has to be employed.

Hope it all goes well, you might be lucky to find a repairer/apprentice to do it after hours for some spare cash.

Best of luck,
Heath

I would seriously think about ditching the fibreglass unit and replacing it with a polypropelene [ is that how it's spelt ?]front dam , otherwise next time you touch something the same thing will happen .

just rip all the glass off as it will look much cleaner without a kit on at all.

Heath, cheers for the advice, the damage wasn't as bad as i initially thought so your idea is definately an option.
Rich, where can i find out some more about this polypropelene, haven't heard of it . Is this a some-what new material that people are using for bodykits??
And Sam, what are you on about mate? Does your car not have a kit...

Adam do a search for xenon body kits and you will see , their kits are made out of polyurethane which is the stuff plastic bumpers are made of , extremely tough and Xenon don't even use silicon mould release agents so that they are easier to paint .
