g'day, My names ryan and i'm new to soarer central so firstly... Great page guys whoever came up with idea to put a celsior chat in is a champ. Its so good that i can now come here with my problems that most of you probably already know the answers to! I bought a celsior in february but it now has over 200 000Km on the clock so i took it down to newcastle lexus to have it serviced only to find that there are alot of problems that need adressing including all of the brakes needing machining (should i just buy new slotted ones from DBA or similar?) so i have included a scan of the damage parts and schematics that lexus gave me. Do you guys have any advice on where to go for new parts or even upgraded ones? Lexus quoted me around $5000 without labour so much money!! any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so so much Ryan

Yeah whats the deal, everyones always telling you that these engines have good fuel economy. What a crock! Mind you, my problems probably due to the fact that it would still be running a japanese tune, being an import and all, but i just booked it in to get a Unichip fitted next week so that will definetely help. I'm sick of smelling petrol when i put my foot down...

I get between 500 to 600 per tank , mind you I put a new filter in it every 3 mths . as a side note I get ALL my parts in from the States , a saving of around 70 % per item !! I'm shortly going to be making up an adapter to run an Apexi filter in the standard airbox , gives more air but filters just as well as a standard filter , I will be able to get them for around $150.00 , won't take long to get the cost of standard filters back seeing as I use 4 a year , not to mention a bit more HP and I recken about 1 litre a 100 kays fuel saving , we will see .

If you are getting less than 500km to a tank (ie, all 85L, not just the 70L you used) while around the city (assuming reasonable driving), or less than 700km on the highway, then you need new o2 sensors.
You should be getting close on 800km, if not more, from a full tank country run.

Ryan I have sourced my parts from olympus , foreign car parts on line and the ball joints came from toyolex , have had no troubles with any of them , I also sourced some bushes from Daizen with no probs . As an example the ball joints from Toyolex on E-bay are genuine and are only US $129.00 a pair , even with freight and exchange rate they are way cheaper than you can get them here for and so it's worth the effort .

Hey rich, thanks for that... with the daizen bushes dis they have any affect on ride quality or handling, a few people here say go rubber Vlamos mushes for $300 a pair for superior ride over polyurethane bushes for a lot cheaper which will wreck the ride quality what were the daizen ones like? cheers
