Heh dude, welcome. I grew up in Redcliffe when Monaro's and Gtho Fords ruled the streets, that was until mt Camaro came along. A 427 short block with heads that were detuned from a drag strip Jeep, yep you read that right, from Surfers Paradise raceway did a end for end flip and was demolished. This Camaro was the quickest thing on the way out to the roadhouse, beating my mates on the 6 mile strip in those days was a matter of honour when we start at the old drive-in in Kipparing and finish up at the roadhouse on the highway. Ask old man Douglas who was the sargent cop who lived across the road from me in Clontarf, (he gave me a get out of jail free card) what the ride was like, he had a XB Ford with a 351 fully blown, and a full roll cage.
