Welcome David.. Unlike Leon, I say the 2.5 litres of V8 Annihilating power from the TT is um.. Better as far as cubes go This club is awsome. SO many friendly people who love to take a joke every now and then, specially the V8 guys, as they are easier to stir up.

I saw a Twin Turbo 1UZFE in a GT4 Celica, in the progress of being made, can't for the life of me remember where i saw it...' But here's a video of one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C0veAb-CiM Plus c'mon who doesn't love the raw power of an NA engine anyway, 18x8.5 and I still can't maintain traction!!

| Maybe try putting them on the back instead of the 175/75/15's you got on the back at the moment Leon?????

No no, 18x8.5 all the way around, admittedly takes a little more convincing to spin and you actually move instead of just leaving a 4 inch ultra black mark on the road

I've got the Zoom magazine with the article on the completed car, red. Lost all the good GT4 bits, but can light the wheels at will! |

Yes private road That gt4 would be the coolest thing to drive, but you just wouldn't even think about in the wet. I'd love to find the forum that the guy went through the whole process with!

I dunno, seems a bit crazy putting all that work into a car as naff as a Celica.

Nothing naff about 4wd 1UZFE TT. That car would be very quick, and probably even handle OK.

Yup, its quick, but its still ugly, and its only RWD not 4WD. No way could you put that much power through the Celica 4WD system anyway. Only ever driven FWD Celica's but other than the current model, they feel much like driving a FWD Corolla.

I tend to disagree that they drive like a corolla, I have the FWD version of that celica, went well and handled very well. (It went well till i got the soarer... now well it is very slow ) It would be a wicked drift car though Its more like a 2 door camry with a sports pack

No doubt about it, its a mean machine, I just personally can't understand why you'd put all that work into such a dull body though. But then I also can't understand the people I see driving around in clapped out late '80's 2 litre saloons with 5" exhausts scraping the ground on wheels worth three or four times more than the cars they are bolted to. I guess at least you could label this Celica a sleeper.

Oh and I wasn't slagging off Corolla's handling, they do very well for a small economic run about - they just aren't at all involving or sporty.
