Hi to all. Been a member for a while and so far no major faults. Had the Mark Paddick EMV repair, Vlamos bushes, and lots of other little tips from this site. Made my own recharging gear for front and rear shocks and really enjoying my Active. BUT I now have a small A/C fault I would like some help with. A/C works fine initially but after half hours running slowly stops cooling. The diagnostics show up 21, the solar sensor, with a chime which I found means it is a current fault. I have tried to clear it ,but it shows up again. Will a fault in this sensor actually turn the system off? Next day the A/C is fine again. I have been through the search function but could'nt find any thing about the effect of a faulty sensor. Any help much appreciated.

John.
I get the same fault, which I have yet to fix. I've come to live with it and usually just hit the A/C button twice to re-activate the aircon. I'll let you know what happens when I finally get around to fixing it. From memory it's caused by the solar sensor (top left hand side of the dash) loop going open circuit, so it could be a broken wire, or could be a faulty sensor. Hopefully a multi-meter will tell all (although it's intermittent so I could be waiting a while).

Thanks for that Tim. I have'nt tried the button twice. Do you know if that solar sensor just pulls out, I tried but didn't want to break it or the dash.

Haven't checked that yet. I'll get onto it this weekend and let you know how I go. I wonder how much the sensor costs. I may just wire in a resistor if that'll work.
