Hi everyone

Couple of days before Christmas I picked up an active Soarer which was the best Christmas present!

Been looking for an active one for a while and in gold colour too so this worked out perfectly. I've been reading these forums for a while and pretty much everything I know about this car is from here. Thanks go out to all contributors, it's a great site!

And of course I can't not attach some photos of my new baby!

The car is in a great shape, only done 65k kms, body is in great condition, only the back bumper seems to be a shade darker than the rest of the car. I was told it was like that when it was imported.

The front lights look virtually brand new, they're in great shape. In one of the photos though a bit of water got in the right one as it was outside for the night.

Looking forward to being a more active member on these forums!

Cheers
Ben

Thanks for the comments guys. Justin, yeah that's a thought, I might look into that. It does feel a bit higher than I'm used to. Would look better too.

Neil, no I don't think that's the one. This one has barely done 2000kms since arriving in Australia in 2002. Didn't make it anywhere near the Great Ocean Rd.

Shortly after its arrival the suspension failed and it's been sitting in a garage until last November when Niall fixed the suspension and got it up and running. And that's where I stepped in. Drives super smooth now.

One of the things I wanted to do is re-plate my badges. They are gold and most of the gold has worn off. Anyone know someone who can re-plate them without removing them from the car? I've heard of it being done but haven't been able to locate anyone yet. I'm not really keen on removing them, heard it's quite a hassle getting them back on. And what do you guys reckon would look better on the gold Soarer, chrome badges or gold ones?

She is a beauty. Very Nice Soarer. Man I wish they had like "Get Togethers" In Canada like you guys do down there. It would be cool to just drive in a stampede of Soarers.

Instead of replating the Lexus badges, why not go back to the proper Soarer badges?

Possibly because he likes them? Then he'd also have to ditch the number plates to match.

Yeah, L in the plates stands for Limited. I think I'll stick with these ones, don't want the hassle of taking them off. Just want to get them replated.

Thanks guys, yeah I'm loving it!

I had the badges re-plated in gold today and it's looking even nicer now. Whoever did it last time did a bodgy job as the gold wore off but it's looking awesome now!

Jan, thanks for the contact details, Nam's guy did a great job. Btw, for anyone looking to have any electronic work done to their soarers in Sydney, contact Name in Marrickville on the above number. He does it all, radio and digital TV conversions, reversing cameras, etc...
