| The front bar is from jetspeed, but i dont know what its called.. i have cut the mouth open to 600 x 300 since the pic to fit the intercooler in. Nah someone else is doing the conversion i only do stereos at carindale jb. also it is still running factory turbos for the time until i can get some cash together.. thanks for the feedback |

| arent you worried that the heat from the overflow bottle will effect the battery? I thought the overflow was usually placed at the front to cool down the superheated coolant. |

| Haven't had any issues in the 4 years I've had it there Toan. Even the Trust install manual for the front mount intercooler kit tells you to put it there. |

| Overflow bottle shouldnt really be using much coolant.... Its not like it flows constantly back and forth. Only if it needs more or needs to spit some out! |

| Indeed, the overflows purpose to allow for the natural expansion and contraction of the fluid as it heats and cools, so the cooling space is always full. |

| I'd budget for around $10k including parts costs. Mine cost a little more than that in the end, but I went big single turbo at the same time. |

| Find the right engine and have a capable mechanic friend and it can be done for under $4k if you do some smaller things yourself. Still in the end, you could setup a 300rwkw single for $5k on a 1JZ if again you did a few things yourself. |

| I paid $3000 exchanged and fitted with 100,000 km service, without the turbos plus $200 for a s/h sump and oil pick up, $120 new water pump. low k import from aristo, my old engine did 137,000km and turbos were stuffed. Good deal i thought. |

| Guys, please don't compare your cars and prices with Simons, he have the best strongest and in perfect condition and I think he did most of the work himself, maybe with help from his father who have a workshop, what I have understand. |

| Thanks Jan We actually performed the install at Lew's so credit also goes to him. The car has pulled several 380kW+ runs in 2006, so probably doesn't compare to a run-of-the-mill 2JZ-GTE in all honesty. The extra $ spend shows in the results though. Oh, and the motor had a pair of HKS 264 cams in it as well, so there's a few more $ of the cost explained. |

| Thanks for the info guys. I am really interested in a GTE conversion as I have a 2JZ-GE and NA-T would probably cost the same for less. Joe may i ask where you got your conversion done in WA for such a great price? |
