Hello,

My name is Matt and im from Adelaide, South Australia! I have been browsing this site for a good month now and have found it quite informing!

The main reason besides learning more about these interesting cars is to find one myself! I have been looking for the perfect soarer for about a year now and I still have had now success! I currently own a Toyota Celica 92 model and think its time to upgrade!

I hope that by joining Soarer Central the people of these forums can lead me to the car of my dreams!

Basically I am looking for a 2.5 Litre Twin Turbo Soarer, it must be manual with a sunroof and would like the Limited pack and not as you guys like to say the 'Pov Pack'. I am looking for the specific colour of black, but green is also good. By the way does a Black GTT-L Soarer exist???

Thankyou very much, I hope my first post will be quiet successful!

Matt...

Hi Matt,

You might want to look around on tradingpost as well. There are plenty of manuals out there now, but you want might have to travel interstate for them though, depends how bad you want it :-)

Good luck with the search Matt!

I can only imagine how it would be to find a GTT-L in black, manual and sunroof

How about one of these? As Ken if your after something so specific its definantly worth travelling insterstate for the right one.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

The Black soarer is very nice although it hasnt got the one thing that I desire, a sunroof lol!

I was thinking more along the lines of this,

http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/private/TOYOTA/SOARER/details.aspx?Model=SOARER&__Nne=20&__N=42 94962861+0+42+4294961295+834+285+257&Make=TOYOTA&State=All%20States&silo=1003&state_id=0&distance=25 &Cr=8&seot=0&__sid=113C23B859BA&R=1461993&__Ns=pCar_PrivateSpecialFlag_Int32|1||pCar_ImageCount_Int32|1||pCar_LastModifiedDate_DateTime|1&trecs=17

This car has everything that I like although when I enquired about it, the in and exterior seemed to be a bit dodgey!

I have been looking at cars interstate and even looked at importing but I still cant seem to find exactly what i am looking for!

Where else can I possibly look? Where did you guys find the car of your dreams?

Thanks!

Matt...

Hey Matt it took me a good 6 months to find my dream soarer. At first i was also wanting maybe a green or that midnight blue coloured soarer in V8 or TT variants with sunroof etc but after looking at quite a number of examples through dealers or privately I just couldn't find a decent one. Either the bodywork was good and interior was crap or vice versa. But then i found a neat red 92GT-T with low km at a yard and i just knew it was the one. It's a hardtop which means it doesn't have a s/roof that i thought was a MUST have before, and really it's no big deal to me anymore that it doesn't have one. Basically what i'm saying Matt is being too specific about colours, features etc like I once was is like finding a needle in a hay stack. By no means give up on what you are looking for but you will KNOW which one is right for you as soon as you see it. Anyway good luck in your search mate!!

I just so happen to find my dream soarer after waiting for 4 years (unintentionally) for the previous owner to put it up for sale. Thankfully i didnt have to go interstate for it either, but its everything I could ever want, except for a sunroof and maybe leather seats hehe.

There seems to be quite alot of soarers in QLD for sale. Especially highly modified ones. Theres a nice blue one for 30k, alittle steep, but its got alot of mods, but anyway this is just FYI.

An aftermarket sunroof just like the factory sunroofs will set you back about $2100-2500 professionally installed.

That car above is very cheap for what it is, so i would be cautious before entering into any sort of agreement. From the photos i can see a few cracks and scuff marks and remember a respray would be twice as expensive as installing a sunroof, which is something to keep in mind. Also a damaged rim from hitting a gutter suggests he has was going at some speed when he made contact so there may be further damage to suspension components.

But either way its cheap so provided nothing major wrong with it you could spend a couple of grand fixing it up.
