Hello I thought I may take this opportunity to introduce myself. I have owned a jza70 a few years back now. After this car I decided to build up my a70 spare parts shell into a running car. It started off of a ma70 and under went a total transformation to look and handle like a jza70 spec R. I did all the work myself on this conversion and in January this year it became road registered. I wouldn't suggest anyone go to the extent to change over every bit of wiring and interior unless you had to as its a time consuming process. Currently the car is under going surgery to hopefully hit the magical 500bhp mark with the aid of a gt35r turbo and a few other goodies. Its going to be mainly used on the track for drifting. Mods are
Supra 89 ma70
1JZGTE + r154 GT35r turbo Custom manifold 48mm TURBOSMART wastegate Hybrid Intercooler Os giken gearset 650cc Injectors HKS 256 cams Blitz ecu (to be replaced shortly) Profec B boost controller 1350kg pressure plate 6 button clutch Greddy Boost gauge Omori gauges (oil temp, oil pressure, water temp) Apexi N1 exhaust Cusco Zero 2 coilovers Front and rear strut brace Torsen lsd (to be replaced for a 2 way) Bomex body kit (front bar, side skirts, rear pods) S02 Wide body guards (only one in Australia) RAYS 57 Pro rims 18x9 and 18x10 Cusco bolt in roll cage Random Japanese fixed back race seats SARD fuel regulator There is lots more but I cannot think right now exactly what is left. Pictures of build up, none once it came off the road to get single turbo conversion done.
Also I have got a jzx81 Cresta for my daily when I get around to fixing it up. Has the 1jz and auto box. basically stock standard.
Now the soarer. I bought this as someone else's unfinished project. It has been totally stripped down to a bare shell.
Soarer 84 GZ20 Mods Weight reduction (no spare wheel, sound deadening, gutted doors etc) Carbon fibre dash Carbon fibre bonnet Carbon fibre boot Fuel cell Surge tank Full Chrome molly roll cage Wider front guards (not in pictures) Front strut brace

Future plans are to import myself a 2jz package with around 500-600bhp. Upgrade all the brakes to supra 4 pot with use of Ikea formula z30 control arms and z30 hubs to also allow more steering lock. Motec ecu and dash. Then race it in classic Adelaide and also the Targa Tasmania.
Here is a quick video of my old car out at the track.

Hey pen. I met you at the soarer day down on king william road. I was saying I had a few goodies
Yes there is a lot of work put into these cars, I don't think they will ever be finished but that is a project car for you. Engine in supra is coming out to finish it all off and hopefully it can stay in there for a long time.
I would not say this is a "collection of toyota history" as most of these cars will get driven harder than most could ever dream of and i'm building them to survive that. I found these older cars feel a lot nicer to drive and more raw which makes them more exciting.
If people in SA need parts for the a70/z20 I have a lot of stuff spare or can track it down quite easily. Cheers for reading and I will hopefully have more pictures and videos soon.

The supra is being resprayed shortly as well to the late model a80 dark silver. And still deciding if I want to put a gold pearl over the soarer. Andrew, what was your mates name?

I think he wants to upload it onto a place like photobucket, you tube etc so people can see. I think a go kart would have been more complete than my car at this point in its build. Consisted of, chassis, engine, gearbox, diff, 2 front seats, steering wheel and suspension. It didn't have, doors, bumpers, head lights, tail lights, interior, front panels (none!) didn't have an exhaust either. True jimmy style, cars running and within 5 minutes its doing circle work on the front lawn.
