I've recently bought a 'fresh' import, it's a 3.0L auto, late '95, in ice blue/silver. I've already fitted a set of 18" rims, and I'm planning to add a turbo early next year. The car has about 120k km so far; I've had the car up on a hoist, and everything looks really good, the suspension bushes are in such good condition I suspect they may already have been changed. Does anyone have any suggestions for 'improving' what is already an awesome motor, in advance of my adding the turbo kit?
FWIW I had a 2.5TT about 8 years ago, but, stupidly, chopped it in for a TT Supra, which I eventually found too much of a handful for hooning around our local narrow roads, eventually I replaced it with an MX-5, which I wound up to about 225kW at the wheels, but I've had that for 6+ years and I'm just getting bored with it, especially on longer trips.
I've already picked up CDs for all the info regarding maintenance and schematics, and I'm perfectly happy rewiring an ECU or rebuilding an engine from the bottom up.
I'm really looking forward to making this car totally mine, and keeping it for may years to come.
