G Day
I've finally taken the plunge after lusting for a soarer for some time ,umming and arring about whether it was to be turbo or v8,ive bought a v8.
Its a pearl white mid 93' 31' limited bought in a moment of madness on ebay.
Ive spent some time cleaning and happy to report its in very good shape and drives sweetly.
however not impressed that aircon is schtupped especially since dealer assured me it was serviceable..website is great and has been most helpful i will attept to post photos of her soon

Hey mate.

Good to hear you are happy with your buy.

I wouldn't stand for no aircon however, especially with the looming summer. Get that fixed! ;)

Shes had her first service today and apart from the aircon shes tip top..aircon will be seen to tommorrow..hoping a regass all thats required.Once thats all sorted i'm on the hunt for some 18 inch wheels and will be hoping to free up the exhaust/intake to liberate a few kw's and importantly let it sing like a v8 should..cheers to all

Nice buy Wess

I like the white and those stock rims. Very classy.

How much is an AC regass these days? Last time i checked it was something like $80?

Check in through the front bar to see if the passengers side of the radiator looks a bit oily. If so, the O ring needs replacing. Simple job, and might be the leak.

Hi Wes, Hope its a simple fix with your air con, I had to replace just about everything on mine, it cost a fortune. Works well now though. Nice car by the way

G'day Wes, nice car, like the stocky wheels.
Hope you had success with aircon....many repairers see the big L and they assume it spells Ca$h.
I guess because it can be a big job if it requires a bit more TLC than just a re-gas.

My brother in law had a green Limited V8, which I drove to Tamworth to swap it for a 300ZX FairLady with him, and I'll tell you what, the 300 and its twin turbo is really something, but couldn't help being disappointed, as the drive in the Soarer was just so much better, too cool, good on juice, comfy, and punchy.
I now own a 91 TT and I think I found the best of both worlds.
Enjoy the car dude, great buy
