Hey guys,
After putting down a deposit on a 1995 Toyota Soarer Twin Turbo, around 5 weeks ago from a car yard, and the wait for it to be ready was torturing me, the compliance was finished yesterday and the car was ready for me to go pick it up.
When the car yard owner finally gave me the keys saying its all yours the wait was finally over. I was with a friend of mine who was really not a fan of the car whatsoever. He was telling me it looks ok but nothing special, the interior is ok but nothing special.
I told him its a 1995 car you can't compare them to the newer sports/luxury cars that are available today. Anyway we started driving towards the M4 down Parramatta Road when we got to the turn where the motorway starts the traffic evaporated and I told him this is the main reason why I wanted this car. I put my foot down to the floor and he wasn't expecting it and the Soarer catapulted away down the motorway at a pace that even surprised me and I expected it. It just kept on pulling and pulling until I had to back off when the traffic infront started coming towards us.
First impressions of the car is it's amazing. The ride is smooth even over the horror bumps down Parramatta Road, it stays composed planted down, doesn't crash over any irregularities whatsoever.
The interior at first thought was a bit bland but it is growing on me already starting to like it a lot.
And the power is so smooth and feels never ending it just keeps pulling and pulling.
Now that I have the Soarer, I will be a regular on these forums, discussing problems that other people have with their cars and trying to help if I can, will probably ask a lot of questions the next month I hope you guys don't get sick of me.
The Soarer is a 1995 Twin Turbo like I said, has a sunroof, navigation system (for Japan, lol), CD Player, A/C. The colour is Pearl White its completely stock except for a turbo timer which was in the car already.
My name is Manual, 25 years old, work full time at OfficeMax as an account manager. My hobbies are drag racing addict, soccer, Sim Racing games (Have won nearly $5,000 from playing video games, Forza 2 and Gran Tursimo 4 bu I am not a nerd).
You will see me racing my car at WSID nearly every Wednseday night and I will usually be going down with my cousins 99 WRX which has run an 11.1@132mph, I hope I never race him his car will destroy me FOR NOW!
The mods will begin soon just want to leave it as it is and test out the car stock fix the problems if they arise, then I will start to get serious.
Sorry for the long post guys, you can probably tell I am still too excited about this car. I will try get some photos up very soon of the car and once again sorry for the long post.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I will get some pics up asap. I might take a few now on my phone and post them up.
Vinh, I have been reading these forums for nearly a year that's how long I wanted a Soarer. I was going to come to the swap meet even if I didn't have the Soarer. lol. Now that I have it I will definitely be there. I might bring my cousin along with me in his 99 WRX STI.
I want you guys to go in his STI if you trust him that is (he is a very good driver)after he presses it you just sit there and laugh. You get scared and excited at the same time. I just laugh after he puts his foot down. But thats what 380KW at all 4 wheels does to you.
