Hello all I been hiding in the dark for quite some time now. It is now time for me to say hello to everyone
HI ALL I drive a 1991 toyota soarer It currently has a hksT04e turbo, front mount intercooler, 50mm wastegate, blow off valve, sard fuel pump, sard fuel regulator plus greddy emanage.
I chose the conversion as one of my stock twins were having trouble spooling up. The car is used as a daily driver therefore i got the tuned for smoothness rather than performance. I managed to squeeze 144.8rkw @ 6psi n i am extremley happy with the out come
One more thing, this may have been covered before (i apologise) do u require a mod plate for the aftermarket turbo? I have asked around a few places they said no as my car came with factory turbo but then others say yes. I am realli confused? any help with this matter would be apreciated

No, He is just running stupidly low boost, lol. The turbo still spools at the same speed no matter what the maximum boost is. He is just running it that low as he wants absolute reliability etc..

Might as well buy a V8.
Id love a TT but, Just cant trade off the smoothness, the sound, the effortlessness and prestige that the V8 model offers, even more so in my Celsior than the soarer. Its terrific. The reliability is also a major factor too.... TT is still fantastic, quick and like a rocket but just different in casual driving, more suited to a sporty situation like a track... when I drove those couple a while back I came to that conclusion

stock tt are around 110rkw. Low end torque is gone due to bigger compressor
thank for the welcoming ITs running low boost for reliability plus the fact that its my 1st turbo car n coming from a toyota camry. huge difference! The car has exceeded my expectations and i am extremely happy with the results. Depending on how much i get in my next tax return, if i am lucky i get to buy wonderful new things plus crack up the boost to 12psi here are a list of things i would like to get (not sure when)
1. reinhard cat back exhaust 2. k sport coil overs 3. breather catch can 4. turbo blanket 5. apexi avcr 6. apexi el boost gauge 7. Shift kit

Prayag- the 1jzgte was NEVER rated at 168kW. Never. always 206 kW. My stock soarer with good compression motor pulled 159 rwkW. Martin Donnon's stock car pulled 160rwkW(manual). 140-150rwkw is more the target for a stock auto.IMHO.

Hell, my N/A 2JZ-GE is rated at 220bhp from the factory, and there is no way in hell it would keep up with ANY 1JZ-GTE powered Soarer unless it was a majorly one.
I'd pick my JZZ31 is putting about 110rwkw, maybe even a shade more.
