I'm starting to think the previous owner has changed the dash (possibly after a dose of the blinks) and in the process has missed a cable or two (and put the wrong dash in.)
Shouldn't the emv still tell me how much fuel i have?
Well, i have the same challenge as well. The thing is that the originally the car was a 1JZ auto. The owner swapped in a 1JZ manual, therefore changing the dash meter as well, and later found out that the number of wires from the fuel sender and the meter does not match. I think the wireman told me that there are 5 wires from the fuel sender (Auto) and 3 wires from the meter(manual). Been trying to get a auto meter to see if it works, but couldn't. Also been asking the wireman if he could loop the wires to make the gauge work, he tried and said he couldn't.

The "pov pack" dash released with the JZZ31 in 1994 is designed to work with the smaller fuel tank and more conventional float type fuel sender unit - so its probably getting entirely the wrong signals from the more complex sender unit and larger tank in your car.

Thanks Daniel, I'm chasing it up.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I take out my dash, connect new dash and problem should be solved. I get my TEMS light and fuel gauge... Just follow the dash removal tutorial?
