Firstly, welcome mate, and don't be ashamed of your car being a UZZ31 Limited! I spend more time with mine than I do with my girlfriend.
Answering your question: basically, covers are in place so dirt and moisture can't get it and ruin all your nice circuitry, so I'd be grabbing one from somewhere ASAP. My place is a dust bowl so I'd be so pissed off if I was missing a bunch of covers, but luckily my Soarer was fastidiously maintained. I even scored the cover for the positive battery terminal, a rarity in it's own right. So many battery joints lose them on your behalf and don't bother to replace it.
I agree with Rob and Mike - crush that pod filter into a tiny ball and kick it around on the ground. Get a standard airbox and make a BFI. If you're scared of the BFI, don't be, it's a great mod. I only did mine a while ago and I'm so pleased with the difference. Better economy, more beef, and an improved exhaust note.
Honestly, if you only want to do a Stage 1 BFI, it's plenty - and costs you four fifths of fcuk all. It's reversible too - if you want to sell the car, just get another air box.

Thanks for that Glen, now to find one. Will have to look for a standard airbox aswell.
Yeah, i didn't think i would sell for that price. But it never hurts, you may just get someone. Just wanted to test. Steve, what do you mean probably a bit on the expensive side given its condition?
