I am actually thinking about LPG when I get the new car, but gas only, not dual fuel.

As far as I know, all conversions are "dual fuel". The engine is always started on petrol and switched to LPG when it reaches the required temperature.

My Soarer is a Lexus at home as the wife is a snob so a Lexus is acceptable, while a Toyota is not. To everybody else it's a Soarer

I think "Soarer" sounds so much cooler than "SCX00"... makes it sound exotic and original, and it's got quite an onomatopoeic ring to it, implying that it flies gracefully down the road. On the contrary, the Lexus namesake sounds generic to me.

Gareth's statement is correct. MY LPG vehicle has to start on petrol first, then changes to LPG.

Interesting. Although I don't think you could realistically run LPG only in the UK because of the risk of being stranded. Comparatively few service stations sell LPG.
