Arrived, from Johannesburg South Africa, 3 months ago. Hervey Bay, Queensland is stunning! So too, the wide selection of cars available in Australia. I'm like a kid in a choc-shop! currently, my wife drives a 3.5 Aurion company car, (not available in South Africa). After spending a lot of time on many Australian car-websites, I've decided on a Soarer. It appears that there are more used spares available for Toyotas as opposed to Skylines, which I was originally very keen on. I think maintainance-wise, cost are similar for most cars of this category and age. Also, I have 2 kids and we plan to travel a bit. So seating and luggage space should be no problem. I'm sure I will learn a lot from many who contribute to this site. Glad to be a member!

Brent, always good to have more South Africans in Oz & NZ.

Seems a bloody shame you have to leave your homeland, but I guess the South Africa of today isn't the South Africa you grew up in

Our Commercial Sales Manager (Olex Cables) is from Jo'burg, and is teaching me all sorts of insults in Africaans............highly entertaining!!!.

Welcome Brent! Good choice in purchasing a TT Soarer, they are the most ideal purchase if your after good valve and a strong factory performance!
