Hey everyone,
Just dropping by to say HI! I recently got myself a White '91 Soarer. The car's got 92,000km's on it and drives like a dream. I'm hoping to discuss more about Toyota Soarers with everyone on the forum. Until then people. See'ya!

Hey guys,
I've got a broken radiator fan blade thats causing some engine vibration. Anyone know where I can get a replacement? Also, will a rad fan blade for a 2jzgte fit the 1jz?

Hi Jason,
Yea I was considering switching to electrics as well but then I read a thread on this forum saying something about how electric fans aren't good for our cars. Not sure if this is actually true or not.

Anyone know where I could get a replacement rad fan blade for the 1jz? Or does anyone know if a fan blade from the 2jzgte supra will fit our cars?? The engine vibration is really getting annoying so I'm desperate for a fan. Sorry if I make myself sound annoying haha. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its not that electric blades are no good, its just that they are less efficient than the existing setup, providing both less efficient cooling and putting more load on the alternator, so why bother with them?
Ray, I'd say just take your existing fan off, measure it carefully, then see if you can find a Supra blade to measure. If they are the same size I'm sure it'll work fine.

Thanks for idea Matthew! That's probably what I'm going to do. Do you by any chance know how I can remove the fan blade?? Do I have to the remove the whole fan clutch assembly or is there away to just take the blade off?

I'm not sure on the 1JZ, but the 2JZ is just held onto the clutch by a few bolts, so its very easy to get off. You have to remove the shroud for access first though - thats fairly straightforward too, as it comes apart into a couple of pieces. I imagine the 1JZ will be the same.
