hey guys, my names Clare and I’m a fresh soarer owner, just bought a 1991 sc400 v8 and I’m loving everything about it, got some big plans for it!

Just a problem, I don't know if anyone can help but I’m having trouble with my air suspension , my front left bag dropped/deflated the other day while driving (I didn't even notice for a while there was no bang or noise, nothing)I don't think there is anything wrong with the bag its self took a look at it no air is coming out of it no cuts gashes etc, I’m just wondering if it would be the fuses and where they are kept or if it may be the pump that's gone? Any feedback would be great.

Very excited about this forum and all the information it provides, hopefully I’ll catch some soarer owners around Mooroolbark/Melbourne and test what these machines can really can do??!!

...here are some pictures; I don’t know how they’re going to turn out because I had to shrink them to fit on here.

Hi Clare,

Most likely thats the end of that bag. They can't be repaired, so your only option is a new or second hand replacement (about $800 for a new one I think), or change for standard suspension, which is probably the better option, apart from being cheaper, if one bag has gone the rest can't be too far behind.

Welcome Clare,

Clare theres always events on for Vic members - cruises, dyno days etc

Not many at the moment due to cold/wet weather, but will probably be another in the next few months. Usually meet up somewhere central in Melbourne and then head out of the suburbs to more open roads.

is it normal for the bags to let some air out after you've parked, without flicking any switches? Do the soarers have a self stablising mechanism?

hey guys, i am new here, and have found this site very helpful so far, i am happy to be apart of the sc family,i am in Jamaica, i bought a soarer from a friend and it was in horrible condition, i am slowly trying to restore it, the tranny is slow when cold but gets better as it warms up, also the motor cuts out and almost stalls but doesn't, every 10 min or so, the twin turbos are now squealing and not boosting so i know they dead and i am trying to do the single turbo conversion, any one knows why my engine is cutting out? or if i can do anything to sort out the tranny?

OMG! you guys will not believe this!
It wasn't the bag that's blown, the serpentine belt was skipping and snapped (this is the only explanation I can find but).
It snapped the air hose connection to the bag!!! PROBLEM SOLVED!!
So happy that's all it was, now all I have to do is get a joiner for a hard pvc joint! thanks for all the advice guys!!

On the main page there is an "Events, Cruises, Dyno and Track Days" section. Click on that.

Then click on "Vic Events". All Vic events or related posts are in there.

There hasn't been many during winter, usually more over the warmer months.

Theres no set dates/times just whenever someone organises an event it gets put up in the Vic section.

Firstly, welcome to the forum!

I'm prone to organising a few - but impending crappy weather has held the numbers back on my last efforts. Pack of whiners didn't show up for various excuses, they're officially soft for piking out on us since it didn't rain after all. Not mentioning any names, Kyle, Morgan etc etc etc muahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

When I've run cruises, we've met up at a servo, talked Soarers for a while waiting for everyone to show up, then we head off to some nice twisty roads... stop somewhere for a pub lunch... keep driving. Usually meet up around 11:00am and you're home by 5-6pm.

If you want to go on a cruise of epic proportions, sign up for my Snowy Mountains run to be held Australia Day weekend 2009. Four days of the best roads in the country, hopefully we'll see a turnout of 25 Soarers or more. A great opportunity to meet some of the fellow Soarer community, and to test out your new beast on some mountain roads!

You'll find all the details in the Events section, under Victoria.
