Hi All,
Picked up a 1991 TT Soarer a few weeks ago, It was traded in at a mates Dealership and seemed to be a bargain?? Had 96000kms seemed to be in good running order so just to be sure had a 100k service done on it. My mechanic during the service decided that he would fix a small oil leak from the rocker cover. When he took the cover off we new instantly......The oil sludge build up was ridiculous!! 5-10mm in areas and totally covered.......nothing will last in there.
So now he has have built up a new block for it, that is being dropped in some time in the next few weeks?? I still love my new purchase, and now that I have fixed these things hopefully I will have plenty of hassle free kms in front of me.
So far have had the following done:
New shockers in Rear Trans flush New alarm fitted Brakes serviced machined new pads ect. New rebuilt block including rebuilt steel wheeled turbos.
Fingers crossed this will be all for now but like I said would do it all again.
