| Hi, Brought our Soarer in October, very impressed with the ride etc, best car we have owned so far, (we've had quite a few, in the past), both hubby and I are petrol heads. the car is totally stock and this is how it will remain, will hopefully be resprayed next year. we've have got a few problems with it, passenger window doesn't work (trying to find out where it is earthed via the motor or switch? , usual EMV probs, Some nice person also removed boot struts (will be ordering new ones soon). Car just needs some TLC, and a good valet. |

| In the past we have had:- 3ltr capri's, 3ltr GT Consul (Ex Police Car), Various MK1,2,3,4 Cortina's, Various escorts including Mexicos and gt's, XR3I, XR2's Various Vauxhalls Viva's, Ventors, Cavaliers Mk1,2,3, Cailbra, Astra incl 1.8 GTE and 2.oltr Gte's, Honda Prelude Gen 3, MK3 Supra, 2.5 & 2.8 Pajeros, Jags, Cherokee Jeeps both 4ltr, 3.5 Discovery and range rover, 3.9i Range rover, 2.4TD Hilux Surf, BMW's 318,518,520, 316 to name but a few, sure there are others, The wierd thing about the window is if you put a live feed directly to motor it works, was wondering about an earth problem, but it does not show on the wiring diagrams i have. Thanks for your welcome. |

| Definitely sounds like a break in the rubber boot area as Kenny suggests. |

| Many thanks, i know i have 1 feed missing from the drivers side to the passenger switch, not too bothered about that at moment, as all the other feeds (2) are still there including the Blue wire which should operate the window, without any problem, but it doesn't. I am a bit stumped where it comes to earths for passenger motor, not sure whether it earths through the motor case or the switch or whether inside the motor there is some form of circuit breaker to earth. | Welcome to Soarer Central. Yeah, could well be a cracked wired in the loom between the door and the frame. Other wise perhaps a faulty switch block? |

Would that be the drivers side (master switch)or passenger side? Many thanks for the welcome |

| I went through this drama recently. Check ALL the wires, the motor (after removing it) and stuffed around for bloody hours. Turned out being the passenger side switch was buggered, only worked going UP and not DOWN. Swap the switches FIRST (with a friends Soarer in your area if you are lucky) then start stuffing around chasing wires, motors, regulators etc. Apart from that, Welcome to the club ! |

| Hi! thats a fair few different motors! which was your favourite? as you said that if you wire a live to it, it works, then it could be very likely that just the switch is broken, or of course it could be a break in the live too, if there's as many soarers round there as there is here its going to be pretty hard to find a donar switch... ringing a guy later that's got a soarer for breaking, will enquire how much his switch is. |

| Many thanks Kenny, there are not many if any other soarers in Bexhill as it is mostly old people. Let us know is the fella has a switch? The favourite car is the soarer, but finding some parts silly prices, especially when talking about EMV's etc. |

| hey i only the other week went to newquay for a weekend clubbing, been there a few times and of course run to the sun (RTTS)!! is a really nice place only things that ruin it are the weather and these days the pissed up mateys picking fights with people, newquay gets the majority of the tourism down this end though so i think that accounts for alot of it. cheeeeeeeeeers guys |
