Hey everyone,

I have the oppertunity to own a soarer (94 TT) and was hoping owners could offer me advice on whether to get it or not.
The car will need to be my daily driver and must be mechanically reliable and not cost me alot in repairs.
I am currently saving for another investment property and a holiday for the end of the year so i don't have alot of money to throw around.

So would a soarer be a good car for me?

The car i am looking at is on carsales and is a 94 TT in dark blue with little to no engine mods (has a POD, boost controller, SAFC & a lukey exhaust).

http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/private/TOYOTA/SOARER/details.aspx?trecs=21&R=6224850&Make=TOYO TA&__Ns=pCar_PrivateSpecialFlag_Int32|1||pCar_ImageCount_Int32|1||pCar_LastModifiedDate_DateTime|1&Model=SOARER&__N=4294962861+80+53+1621 +245+463+4294961295+1216+834+285+257&State=New%20South%20Wales&distance=25&silo=1003&seot=0&Cr=2&__N ne=20&PriceMin=7500&state_id=80&__sid=11AB298B809C

The soarer is located in Orange (NSW) and has travelled from W.A.

If anyone knows anything about this car would they please let me know.

Perhaps ask one of the KEEN brothers on this site as they are both from Orange (i belive)

It does look pretty tidy from the pics but i doubt it a 94 model as the tail lights are from an earlier one. Not a bad boot install either.

mmmmm and new paint !

'91 front bar and '91 high beams too, so almost certainly not a '94. KM's are BS too.

Haha.. I was trying to be knowledgable without explanation. I just go by the breather hose to determine series 1 or 2. I would like to know what are the differences between the two.

Jake get them to send you a picture of the build plate... for our sake.

I always thought there were only 2 versions of the 1JZ-GTE, single turbo vvti (post '97) and twin turbo non vvti (pre '97)

Haha, 83k's.... It just does not look it.

Take the dash out and Im sure it would have 75k's written on the back by a local car wrecker.

Just my opinion, but I wouldn't purchase a vehicle from a P plater.

I know that's stereotyping, but better to be safe than sorry.

...I know how I drove on my P plates.

I was flicking through the site tonight and just realised that this might be my old soarer?
