Hello Everyone.

Thought i'd introduce myself. I live in Narre warren, Melbourne. My name is Fabian Pagani and i am the proud owner of A Lexus (*cough Toyota*) Soarer TT 92. I cracked the front bodykit after getting too friendly with a gutter at video ezy (first car with body kit hehe) so ive being fixing her up with some fibreglass and i also did some re-enforcement while i was at it. It is now very very stiff.

I know i have some extreme sanding to do on those fibre glass patches but i'm a painter so sanding is second nature.

My problem is i now have to get her registered. The fun part of owning a car that looks good. Here's what the place i got the roadworthy done at had to report along with quotes of how much they would fix it for.

I fixed my loose bodykit, i just fibreglassed some bolts to the sides and they slip into place and voila! Stiff as a rock.

My rims at the back are slightly wider than the ones at the front but it is wearing the same tyre. Pics above I didn't think this was a problem but they did. Maybe some wise poster can give me some advice on that one.
With the suspension i can fit a 4inch/10cm coke can(the official benchmark) under the body kit everywhere but the problem is the exhaust system looks like it hangs down a cm or two lower than the rest. i think that maybe i either raise the car again or remove some of the bits along the exhaust like some of the people on this forum have done (pushing it up doesn't get much extra clearance at all i tried).

My interior passenger door handle broke ARRGGHH!! They are so much fun to open when they are broken. Perhaps it will teach me to open the door for my girlfriend like a true gentleman. Haha

Oh and my steering wheel is a "Momo Italy" one that is woodgrain thats why they picked it.

A tonne of challenges to have fun with is one way to put it. LOL(is lol allowed) at 15-30 bucks to fix the battery clamp. I'm going to be doing as much as i can on my own seeing as i am on holidays. Thankyou in advance to anyone that replies

Easy fixes

- Headlight bulbs
- Number plate lights
- Windscreen washer
- Battery (just chock it in there with something)
- Seat belts (buy some 2nd hand ones from a wrecked car)

Tough fixes (could be costly)

- Bushes (mine cost about 700 installed
- Heater demister not working on windscreen... (does that mean its not getting HOT or no air is being blown onto windscreen ?? If its just not getting HOT then that is also an easy fix *let us know*)

As for sms speak... i reckon LOL should be accepted as its been included into the dictionary now hahah

The air-con works but there is no heat being blown onto the windscreen like you said. And yes it will receive alot of TLC as i plan on keeping her for as long as i can. I'll buy another car when they start flying and run on water. Haha

Do you say dangerous because they are stretched onto the rim?

Yes.

I've never got why people get these large wheels, and can't afford the correct width tire on so shove some cheaper smaller alternative reducing all sorts of factors in how well the tyre will perform on the road.

Totally stupid.

Indeed, of course it pushes the sidewalls way past design specs - thats why manufacturers have specified rim ranges for tyres, because those are the SAFE ranges for the sidwalls, too much either way and they won't do their job properly (keeping the tread on the ground, force distribution, and assisting with shock absorbsion) or may fail completely.

There all fairly easy fixes.

Most annoying/expensive will be to do the bushes and raise the height.

Do you have a spare set of wheels or even just borrow some and chuck them on for the RWC.

I find when going for a RWC its best to get the car looking as clean/neat as possible. So wash the car and make sure everythings mounted properly, degrease engine bay and fix the easy things. Then go back and pull out a few globes etc so the RWC guy feels good he can write something down. If they see a bunky spec car coming in they will pick it to pieces.
