Hey Guys New member in Auckland just joined up, bought myself a soarer about a month ago and am loving every moment driving this machine having never owned one before. Its the V8 limited model with air suspension, with new alloys and tires. Not looking at doing any major modifications, love it just the way it is. Just installed a new pioneer head unit last weekend and ended up pulling the interior apart just to rewire all speakers, not the easiest car install but good fun in the end haha. Looking at buying new speakers and installing a amplifier to connect subwoofer too . Anyway looking forward to being part of the forum and checking out all soarer stuff. Cheers Alec

Welcome Alec! More NZers If you lift up the parcel shelf, the connection for the original sub amp is there, you could connect that up? Theres a page on here of how to do it.

to the show Alec. I thought I saw Bruce's Soarer on TMe not so long ago. The Snitch alarm described and the Harley in the back ground of the photo gave it away. Post up some pics.

First thing you should do is buy some factory coil/shocks and get rid of the air suspension. This car has been stuck in high mode for going on 2.5 years or more. Would look much better at a lower height, and actually handle, was rather lofty when I drove this one some time ago What are your plans for it Alec?

From memory the profile was too low on the tyres also. Did he manage to get the problem with the brake accumulator fixed? When I drove it it had the WORST brakes, felt like there was virtually no assistance. It also had some kind of solinoid problem with the transmission sticking in 2nd.

Hey Guys First thing I have to do is get the timing belts done looking at a bit of money to do that. Did a quick brake test day after I bought it and they're good as gold, ABS working fine, havn't noticed any sticking with the transmission may be something to look at though, being a high performance car the low profile tyres suit it fine so happy with them. No plans as of yet but may end up lowering it sometime soon, overall pretty happy with the car.

I think the problems did get sorted so you should be right Alec, is a nice car. But do sort out the suspension as its sitting around 1-2inch higher than it should be normally, I think the height controller or Suspension ECU has a few problems.

Cheers Mike, yeah gonna have a look at suspension this friday see if there's any problems that need to be fixed, also try and see if I can lower the car itself
