| So I got some BC Gold Series adjustables on friday... What can I say?The damper adjustables are amazing handling wise, and the hieght... I can sit the chassis on the ground with about 100mm left to wind down on the shocks. It looked pretty cool sitting down so low, but unfortunatly I have 10 inch wide wheels to tuck in under the rear guards and I couldn't go around corners (so it's a bit higher now)... Anyway, this thread is dedicated to Mike Beck because he's usually mean to me about being back yard about everything, this time I've spent a fair bit of money on improving things on my "tired" soarer |

| Somethings wrong here, I've tried uploading pics on two different computers around the house and both of them keep going nowhere once I click upload. Site playing up? The pics are from the same camera I always use when putting pics on here so they can't be to big. |

| Haha no ofcourse I'm not driving, I've been stuck at home all weekend... Ok I lie I drove to the supermarket to buy some beer but that's it I swear ;) We shall let the raped tyres serve as a lesson to all... If I got skinnier wheels I could uncamber them and have it way lower, but that's just show before go, which I don't like so much... |

| Haha thanks, I've got new tyres tomorrow so I'll be back on the road... Can't wait. It doesn't look so good in the pic I posted, I was a bit short on space, here's a better one.
Before adjustables but it still looks good. It's a bit lower than that now. |

| I'd highly recommend Yokohama A-Drive R1's - got two on the front of my car on Friday then drove to Hamilton and back, then drove all over Auckland yesterday in the rain and I'm very impressed, particularly with their wet braking performance. |

| I've always been a fan of Nangkang NSII's, But at about $300 a tyre I've only used them once... For my Soarer I just go to the same place all the time for parts, Dave Hadley Tyres in Lower Hutt. Always great service, pretty reasonable prices (I payed $1395 for my mags, fitted with tyres) and they do second hand tyres (no less than 80% tread) for $50 bucks each so can't complain about that! All you wellington, even palmy guys (it'd be worth a trip down for those prices) should make it your new mod shop. |

| I just went for a drive to get beer again... I was backroadsing so I didn't have to do the 100ks thing on the motorway and I saw a coppa spin a U turn behind me so I ducked down a side street and pulled over, waited five minutes, continued around a few more side streets and came out just before the supermarket and the sneaky bugger was there waiting for me! She was quite nice though and let me off with the promise of me picking my new tyres up tomorrow... Lucky me!!! The beer tastes much sweeter now. She was also the hottest cop on the face of the planet, I'm not kidding. |

| Yeah, glass hibeams - magic. Not sure if the car is to be written off yet, will find out later on today. A guy pulled out in front of me from a give way on Harris Road East Tamaki, I was in the right lane, and he was turning right out of Cryers Road, he waited until the guy in the left hand lane who was about 10 meters in front of me went past, and then pulled out without noticing me in the right hand lane. I had all of about 2 seconds warning as the guy in front of me was a big transit van and blocked my view of Cryers, so I didn't see that he wasn't looking, so only managed to peel off about 20kph and hit him at about 40. Tyres did very well considering I was probably only on the brake for about 1.5 seconds. The cop who came was quite a hot blonde too Tim! LOL! Not sure if I want the car fixed or not... on one hand its been a great car for 4 years now, on the other hand I should probably think about having a family car now. |
