Howdy all,
Name is Jol.
I just bought Steve's 91 V8 LTD. Lovely car, well kept. Very happy with purchase.
Anyway - just introducing msylf. I've spent the last few years working with old holdens (Toranas) but frankly I am sick of the lack of comfort and constant dirty mechanical repairs.
You can imagine the size of my smile driving the soarer around after driving rattle cans around for so long.
I'm somewhat mechanically minded but electronics is a stronger suit.
I have 100 and 1 questions but i'll do some more research before I post them (and i will post them!)
Looking forward to meeting as many of you as I can and going on a cruise!

$15 and its yours!
Just kidding. from what i can see the drive line is flawless. The body is straight too. Car was better then described.
its funny when you restore a car even the tiniest of little dints might as well be a shot gun blast.
I couldn't be happier with the vehicle and have no intention of selling.
First thing on my list is to fix the EMV as I want to adjust the speedo (I believe this can be done in a module that relates to the tyre size)
Have made contact with a anice bloke in mount waverly who can fix these and do concersions. Once i'm convinced I can't fix it (i'm just gonan chekc the internal fuse / capaictors) i'll pass it on to him.
Other then that I want to reapint the rims and calapiers
Since i've spent a while restoring GHM cars i've got some nice tools I.E. welder, Compressor, spray gear.
Car is going in for RWC tommorow.. i've been over it a few times.. i think maybe the pads might need to be changed but other then that it seems flawless...unless there is some illegal mod under the car I can't see

Let me give her a wash first - might be able to have a wack at the LCD on the weekend too. I'll get some pics then. Chicks in bikini's washing the car looking back at the camera smiling coyly ok yeah?
The for sale thread in which I purchased the car seems to have magically vanished from this forum or i'd just link to it.
For those that care - the soarer is blue paint job is not too bad (steve was very hard on himself there), supra rims (I think)
I live in Vermont South (near the burvale pub) - anyone else in the area?

The RWC went well - my mechanic is pretty strict on safety stuff and obvious stuff (leaking oil etc)
My bloke went over it and found out the tyres (In his opinion) were of too low a quality for the car (colonials) and needed to be replaced (x4), need new wiper blades. Thats it.
Car is magic!! - replaced the tyres this morning and of to burnmart to grab some wipers.
I'll roll her in on Monday and we are home and hosed!
