First off, thanks for the great wealth of information on this site, its been a great help.
My name is Marc, from Melbourne, and I've been looking for a soarer for the last 3 months (been wanting one alot longer), and finally found one that was in my price range and decent, and in victoria, with a few mods thrown in, has duel 2.5" cat-back, two hypermedallion mufflers, front mount cooler, and supposedly steel wheeled turbo's.
heres a pics from the dealer i took on my ruddy phone, the car is very dirty as i has just drove it on a muddy road in a nice rainy Melbourne day. when i pick it up on friday ill get alot of better pics.
once my old car sells i plan on doing a fair few mods to the soarer, headlights/taillights, leather for starters, then gearbox/diff, ecu, etc etc from information i have learnt here so far.
With my old car i was a member of a club, and was very active in their drag days/meets etc, how is the club scene on soarer central in VIC? do you guys meet up/race often?
Ill put in two pics of my old car for what to expect from my soarer in the future, keep it stock looking and go nuts on drive line with a decent interior, did almost all the work myself as i find it a great hobby.

as promised i am putting up a few more pics although taken in rather poor light compared to the falcon ones above. I cant wait for the falcon to sell, so i can start buying the list of parts for the soarer. i am having no buyers remorse at all, would like some more off boost power, better brakes, and an lsd (spins the 275's rather easy, esp if i launch with any boost on), but those will come soon enough.
today i started doing the bfi, as till the falc sells im rather broke haha, but have been unable to find the plastics required, see other thread in tt section, but have the front and baffle plate out, sounds a bit better, a bit like darth vader breathing out fast when backing off it

yeah i love them, they were a nice selling point for the car, they have some very decent dish on them. Although the rear guards need to be rolled with the 275's as they were riding on the guards, i had to ghetto mod them so they rarely touch at the moment.
while we are on the wheels, anyone know how to polish up the lip, it seems to have an odd stain or film thats not coming off.

Mine are 285 but if you look down more i cant lower my car anymore because my wheels/tyres actually come out past the guards. It would look much nicer lowered aswell.. the guards have been rolled but the wheels are just to big.
Thought id throw a pic or 2 of my interior in to.. only just cleaned it =)

has this site got a place to make a build thread for the cars? my old car club had a whole sub forums for it, was great to get ideas and show off mods etc.
any way, i thought i would add stuff to this thread.
i put in a boost gauge in the day after i got the car along with a service, p.s. the oil filters on these are a pain.
As you can see in the first pic i just had it sitting there, i wanted the gauge on this spot as to not attract attention.
I had the idea that the plastic i was using for the BFI would do a good job of cleaning this up, i have left room for the greddy profec b that will be getting ordered soon, and if that doesnt fit, ill put something like a trans temp gauge there, in the pics it looks like the gap around it is huge, but its not very big and matches the head units gap etc.
