Hay i'm a Hawksbury resident NSW. i just bought a Lexus SC400 just over a week a go. and pretty pleased with what i've got. Got some nice 19's on it already. Next will be something with the Stereo system as it works very poorly one moment and sort of ok the next. Can have the volume full and can hardly hear a word then sometimes its to loud. stacker jumps even with new cd's even when the car is stationary. this is the System with touch screen with air conditioning etc on it. if anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated. I'm keen to do the Wisemans Ferry run this weekend also.

Welcome, enjoy your stay here. The car is a little mature now and a vast wealth of knowledge has been collected here! I hope you enjoy reading all that everyone here has collaborated for
The stereo is fairly common for the laser head to fail, mine specifically is 18 years old at least (who knows when they actually made the stacker itself) and does the same. Just replace the stereo for a cost effective solution, but you can get someone to replace the head instead. I've heard that cd reader cleaners (those cd's with brushes on them) only cause more damage if the reader head is old...

oh, and on your profile i see you have an LS400? think you mean an SC400, which is actually a Toyota Soarer GT or GT-Limited, depending on whether you have the airbag suspension or coilovers

i'm aware of that, the guy who works at the caryard i bought my soarer from own a Celsior and has been a huge help to me when i've had issues with my car. i was just jokingly pointing out that Michael's profile states he owns an LS400 when it's actually a Soarer/SC400.But thanks anyway Vinh

hay sorry it is actually sc400 my mistake. was looking at so many different cars. my friend kept saying buy an ls400 thats why it was in my head. its the airbag suspension. dropped the sensors as low as possible still as smoth ride with the low tyre wall on the 19's. is about half inch lower then this pic at the front and rear cannot tell from this pic.
