Or you're stupid like me, and fab up your own exhaust laying on your back under the car in your driveway... worst idea ever.

I just got a new tool chest on rollers - wow it makes life so much easier to be able to bring everything over to the area of the car you are working on! Not to mention its motivated me to sort all my good tools from my bad/imperial.

She goes well, got an AE82 Corolla as a daily now, so driving the 31 is a very nice privilage :-)

UPDATE
Hey everyone, had a bit of time yesterday to get in the fire extinguisher my folks bought me for Christmas, I had a few locations in mind, but the final result I believe was the best option as there were no electrics/wires/devices behind this location, but a bit to the right and down there was! plus if I move the seat as far back as possible and lean it back it doesn't interfere and even with someone sitting there it isn't in the way of their legs.

I also had some spare time to fit a left hand rear strut as mine was from factory and was leaking badly, I did this with a mate who is a mechanic so it took us no time, handles great now...
While I was at it we fitted an 8mm spacer to see what the wheels look like, they sit flush, but unfortunately the factory studs aren't long enough.. so a job for me when I upgrade the brakes down the track.

For the moment, nothing further is going to be happening to the car for a good year as I don't have the money being at uni and have other more important liabilities to take care of!

You can see my daily in the background, a 1987 AE82 Rolla, get's good use, so the Soarer stays tidy and doesn't get worn out,

Thanks for viewing.

Always a good idea to have an extinguisher, I've got one in the boot of my car.

To be fair, I say drive the Soarer daily instead of the AE82, yes if you don't drive it, it will say in better condition, but why not just enjoy it? It's there to be used and get pleasure out of...

It has to be said I was guilty of not wanting to drive my Soarers to keep them tidy, but I will never fall into that logic again, it's just silly not to use the car, it's like having a good stereo and using a crappy Sony instead so I don't wear it out.

However... the main risk of driving the car daily, to wherever, like University is parking, 9 times out of 10 an idiot that parks next to the car will whack their door on it. So many people do it and have no respect for the persons car next to them. It's one reason I avoid this kind of parking at all costs, but sadly it's not always avoidable.

I've got a fire extinguisher about that size sitting in the garage. I should probably fit it at some point.

As for the daily driver, I have none so the Soarer gets used as a daily, which isn't ideal

Yeah I know what you mean Mike but an hour drive to uni 5 days a week makes petrol costly, not to mention worrying about parking it!

Ah fuel funding issues. Hmmm well an hour long drive is perfect for a Soarer (if on a highway). Should average near 30mpg on a good run, but by the sounds it would cost a bit at the end of each week.. guessing $150-200-ish
