Hey guys,
First car, MKIII Supra Turbo A (1 of 500 worldwide, 7mgte, 3" exhaust, injectors, remap, highflowed ct26, trd shocks/springs, fmic + pipings) . Ended up blowing a big end bearing . SOLD.
Next car , s13 with all the same jazz, fun but a piece of .
Now onto my soarer, bought it from a friend for 8. Its done approximately 150k , highflowed steel wheel turbos, injectors, 3" system, fuel pump with surge tank (way to loud) , remapped and tuned to a very safe 320rwhp.
The goal with this car is a nice cruiser, im over drifting and driving stupidly. I want some power when I need it and some hellaflush offset.
I cannot stand the digidash, is there a cluster that is analogue that I can swap it with? please somebody help me.

Jesse only the US spec left hand drive Lexus Sc coupes have the analogue clusters and I think not so long ago on this forum the topic came up about swap overs, just use the search option and see what comes up.

Yeah I will do, probably look at something around the +20 mark and do some guard work, flaring and pulling. on a 9.5 probably run a 215/45 or something with a bit of stretch

Haha yes I never said I was going XT7's . I honestly prefer the XD9s but we will see what the funds allow.
If I could put it off I would run some 15" Impul Hoshinos or Longchamp XR4s or something but the ride height would need to be stupidly low for it too look any good.
No offence to the guys on here but I have seen a fair few really nice cars with wheels that have terrible offsets and it completely ruins the look of the car.

And for the record did I not say earlier I am past drifting ?
You need to think before you post because you just made yourself look like an absolute idiot and first impressions last and from now on I will take nothing you say seriously.
Stretching can be functional to stop sidewall flex mate . Again, think before you post.
Chill with the havin a go at eachother, respect that Jesse likes stretched tyres, so do I, looks good if done right, people like their own stuff! +Jesse, how'd the Turbo A supra go? I was trying for a year to get my hands on one!

off fools. I don't see any circuit racing cars that run streched tyres at any level.
I have seen tyres pop off the rim before having freinds in the tyre industry that have shown me the after effects.
But by all means stick with it. Like i mentioned you obviously don't drive on b and c roads unless they are far better in qld than here in Vic but I doubt it.

Some just prefer to have factory spec steering and suspension response, and/or think stretched tyres look like arse.
Exactly, the engineers design & have it setup the way it is for a reason, NOT for clueless wankers to 'eff' around with at home, thinking they are improving the car.

My Turbo A was great. Bought it with 100k's genuine from an older guy. 2nd owner in Australia, interior was immaculate. It was in better condition that all of my friends cars , which were atleast 5-10 years younger.
I did the basic BPU and took great care , always changed oil and filter every 3000k's. Always warmed up and cooled down. A slight knock then got gradually worse until I decided to stop driving it and at the time did not have the funds to fix it so i let it go for an absolute steal (4k).
The guy who bought it from me is a good guy, car is in safe hands being rebuilt from the ground up. Fully blueprinted engine with forged internals .

So Matthew some prefer to drive cars that handle like crap?
Pretty much guarantee that my car with its factory ride height, KYB shocks, factory spec camber and toe, factory offset and decent quality tyres will both be more pleasant to drive, easier to drive fast, and safer on pretty much any New Zealand road than most cars running after market 18" or 19", massively wide rims poking out the guards with an undersized, cheap arse tyre, lowered excessively on stiff springs with worn suspension components that so many young guys think is a great thing to do with their road cars.
OK, I know not all people modifying their cars do it wrong, but SO MANY do, spending all their money on huge wheels, and cheaping out on nasty tyres, too low springs, worn shocks, perished bushes etc.
And even when you do get all that stuff right, on rough country roads (again, pretty much any road in NZ) the car will be handful and unpleasant for long journeys.
The track is a different matter, but I never drive my car on the track so I stick with what Toyota spent a fortune developing to get right.
OK, the Soarer's never going to win awards for its factory handling, but for a big, heavy GT thats 20 years old, it's not terrible either. If I wanted something that handled on rails I'd buy an MR2 or a Golf.
Basically I'm older now and past having a car thats unpleasant to drive.
Its your choice what you do with your car of course, and you want it the way you want it. I have no problems with that.

I can second that.
I have been in the back seat of a blown v8 soarer doing 150 down rural nz roads, with drastically lowered shocks, hard springs and dampners, and low profile tires. I was amazed it stuck to the road, it bounced around that much.
even at the speed limit, it rode like a truck, and I would hate to have spent a long time in it on rural roads.
I am going to fit 235's all round on my tt, on 17 inch rims, and leave it with the factory TEMS suspension. that way it looks good, and handles well enough without ruining the comfort and economy of what is meant to be a luxury touring car

This isn't nissansilvia.com
Most guys here are more practical when setting up their cars rather than following fads from Japan & US drift scenes.
