I can't find the Current Zoom Mag anywhere, have been to 6 servos and 4 Newsagents and none in stock. Today I changed the plugs and replaced the coilpacks as it had a big miss under WOT. Now going well, Might have to take it to the drags next week and see how it runs in stock form.

Can you order a single issue from their website? Just did my HT leads yesterday - huge improvement in pull through the rev range - two of the old leads seem to have breaks in them, and the rest don't seem to be at all close to spec any more, so its a wonder it was running as well as it was.

Thanks Atonio This one will probably go the same direction as my other one, I am considering going to a big single though but the stock turbos are showing more potential with Jeff now running mid 11's so its a tough choice.

M-eh... its 400m Rob, dont worry too much about how fast you can get there, think ahead and consider the next 400m where only a big single can make you smile ! Nothing can match the feeling you get when a good single kicks into full boost and all you do is hold on tight to that wheel !

But when you talk bang for buck the stockies are hard to go past. Jeffs car would have to be making close to 280rwkw on stock turbos which a lot of single turbo conversions aren't making and the Twin's are probably better for daily driving. I would really like ot go for a spin in a big single before deciding which way to go.

Lot cheaper with stockies, was at the drags last Friday night and a guy had a new R35 skyline. I didn't get a chance to give him a run but his best was an 11.7. I was quite proud of my $15000 Soarer going faster than a $150K Skyline. I reckon 300KW and a low 11 is possible, there's no reason everyone cant do the same as I am. James - I'm to busy hanging on to smile in the second 400m, if you have time to smile your not going hard enough.

Yeah its always nice to beat a car costing 10times the amount. What MPH did you run with the new converter?

Well I finally gave in and swapped cars with the Missus, so now I have a 95TT Red in Colour with Factory Black trim. We swapped wheels over so the Chameleon one now has some Chrome starcorp 18"s which probably suit the car a bit better and My new car has the wheels as pictured above.

| I picked up a pretty rough soarer for parts today for a very good price. I already knew it was fitted with a 3" into twin 2.5" exhaust with hi flow cat and stainless mufflers and greddy turbo timer but was very surprised to find it also came with Autometer boost gauge Shift kit Lews dump pipes & LSD

Yeah sub 4K. I was going to strip the car and sell for parts but it actually seems to good for that, so I might just fix it up a bit and sell it.

Today removed the LSD and exhaust system from the parts car and fitted the exhaust up to my car. Instant power gain! Parts car will be returned to standard and sold complete $2300 if anyone is interested. 3000th post

Fitted the LSD today, used a hoist at a local workshop and made the job so much easier and took just over an hour to remove the old one and fit the new one. Tomorrow will be fitting the shift kit but have decided to sell the parts car complete with the dump pipes as its just too time consuming removing and fitting two sets of dumps.

Have swapped the BFI airbox and boost gauge from the parts car into mine and surprisingly with full exhaust is still only running 10PSI boost. Will probably go to WSID this week to see how it goes but will fit a boost T to run 14psi, should run mid 13's or so as long as the smoky turbo holds up.

Yeah it took a couple of hours of polishing and waxing as the red oxidizes pretty badly and the red turns to pink. I am not too sure which way I am going to go with this one, I like the 97 kit but I did that to my last one. So I am thinking maybe the AC kit with Carbon or Fibreglass black bonnet and some better wheels.

| Not much has been done lately. I have fitted some lowered springs, fixed up the stereo and just done some general tidying up. I am also replacing the turbos in the next week or so as one of the seals went about 12 months ago and causes the car to smoke every now and then, in the process I am slightly porting and polishing the exhaust manifolds and exhaust side of the turbos. Here is a pic of the interior cleaned up (steering wheel is for sale if anyone is interested $230.00 or swap for aftermarket wheel and boss kit)

Good example of 1UZ superiority. Turbos.... |

Not really, to replace the turbos on a 1jz is an easier job than fixing the tapping noise found in so many 1UZ's and the 1jz on the 1UZ performance wise. see above
