Hi to all of you from the West Indies. I am the owner of a 1991-1992 Soarer, and must say that this site has been a great source of information to me. I have quietly followed many discussions and will be in need of added assistance in the coming month once the car is up and running again. I guess the auto trannies have had a hard life and so far have had to change three in less than a year, waiting a few spare to convert to r154 at the moment.

Might be how overworked were those trannies all second hand. No dyno here but running just under 14psi with stock turbos, apexi pod, stock IC, and 3" exhaust. So not doing that much although persons consider it one of the fastest soarers here and have not been abusing them either. The last one came of a car that had crash right after hitting speed cut.

Never thought of that just concluded that it was time to go manual. What would have cause it though?, since the car ran well for years constantly street racing with a greddy fmic which would have had the boost higher still, I would think.

They all showed one symptom which was sticking in one gear and after a few days it would be useless to do anything with them. Fresh type iv fluid would be black in just a few weeks of allowing the car to do all the shifting.Usually less than a full month of driving.

A340's are tough mofo's - Should run for donkeys years at say, 200RWKW with regular servicing (full flushes), a little mechanical empathy, and a good cooler. They do have their limits of course.
