I have had my Soarer for just on a year now slowly getting it to road worthy. I will see it finished in the next month, which will mean selling my XR5 Turbo. While owning that Forums like this one were great, hence joining !!!

So my job revolves alot around AutoCAD and I have some goodies for my first post in the form of a .dxf. You should be able to load these into any CNC cutter and profile the shapes into the material you are cutting. I am currently cutting a custom coilpack cover panel.

In saying that I am here to help you all as well, as I am sure I will receive far more help from this site than I will give. If you have a picture file that you want converted to .dxf let me know, and I will get it done.

Anyway I am glad to join and look forward to putting out some threads.

Second file

You will need to right click on the Upload and:

Save Target As... and change the file extension from .unk to a .dxf. You will need a program that can open .dxf files, or if you do not want to open it, just take the file to whoever has the CNC cutter.

Hey James,

Thanks for the invite, but as you said it will be hard to get to a cruise. Was the same for the Focus, guys down Brisbane always going on cruises and I would miss out.

Focus is a great car, no trouble and easy to make small power mods. I have found myself wanting power to the rear wheels, hence the Soarer.

I have posted a pic of the Focus. Selling it soon.

And here are some general pics of the Soarer in progress, have not been able to get it out of the garage for some time so no full car pics.

Not a big fan of those tail lights but I do like the black angel headlights with dark cars, they have certainly grown on me over the months.

Actually there is a white Soarer that one of the QLD members owns with the black headlights also and that looks different but still pretty cool !

Nice work with the cooler install and going with the black 'stealth' look.

Exactly what I was thinking. I think they look great with black paint. I was considering getting the chrome ones but I like them less and less each time I see them I think. Only 12 more days till Dave's in japan and can take some pics and quote me stuff from there instead :-)
