Hello everyone. Today I was just thinking how many Soarer's are being scrapped/crashed/burnt/rusting. So There really can't be that many left. So lets get an active member count on how many Soarer's there are on these boards. So Just add a line with your Model, year, equipment and color. I think we should get some good results!

gary you must be insane, there's still many about! only the bad ones are being scrapped :p i am currently importing (not buying, IMPORTING) a soarer. my mum and dad are, too.. consider us collectors! They're STILL coming into the country beleive it or not! me - Newing Demo car & TAS entrant JZZ30 series 3 1997 GTT-L 202 Black EQUIPMENT Work Varianza Schwert SC1 18x9F 19/10R RG JTC N'1 coilovers T's Project bodykit Newing Sc430 red leather retrim Lexus ISF exhaust setup (stacked quads) parents JZZ30 Series 3 1998 GTT-L S3 pearl white EQUIPMENT WALD bodykit (genuine) Work Alsdadt 19x9F/10R Tein Comfort spec coilovers 2.5" dual catback if i may be so bold, i think that the Z30 soarer is my favourite car - it's a shame that nobody seems to take care of theirs, a lot of people are happy to let their headlights turn yellow and their paint to fade... but hey - so long as the car makes like a billionty hp who cares, right? i'm just saying, if your modification budget will only stretch to WANLI or CLEAR brand tyres, why buy a T88 turbo for your engine? it's useless unless you can put the power down! you have a look at what the USA "sc300" owners do and how much pride they take in their cars... we Australians could learn a lot from them. Seriously. Australia - step your game up! no offence. EDIT: sorry for rant but something has to be said there.

Rowan, I think you'll find that there are a few of us on here that do take a huge amount of pride in their cars and don't cheap out on it. Take Aaron Casey for example - http://soarercentral.com/sc-forum/messages/283/196009.html?1264257514 Genuine Vertex kit, custom respray, 2JZ-GTE, etc. etc. We all just don't go around advertising it. You'll also find that genuine parts from Toyota are not cheap. Not everyone can justify spending $1000+ for a pair of headlights on a 15+ year old car. This has prompted people to resort to Ebay aftermarket lights (which I'm not a fan of but each to their own). With such high prices on genuine parts, it's only expected that not too many people are bothered with their cars.

hahaha - you guys are not who that was aimed at!!! you fools... as if i would say that =P you KNEW what i was talking about so - - let's not even go there... and yes i have priced out genuine headlights... for what it's worth - all soarer headlights produced after 2000 are made of a different type of polycarbonate, same as the type found in BMW / Mercedes lights which give the "blue cutoff" line with their HID lights.. you CAN recondition them yourself though!!! (but im sure you guys know that) anyway - if this thread is still going - no more discussion... stats only!

Wow did this thread digress quickly... Everyone has different approaches with cars; not everyone is going to be happy with what someone else does with theirs. Modifying a car - even things as simple as going for some nicer wheels or maybe changing the interior to some pink interior out of a hairdressers car - is about changing it to suit your needs/tastes. On topic though, there are a lot of soarers out there, and plenty of people on here who seem to have multiple examples!

the 2000 headlights actually have a different projector. its the projector which gives a different cut off. the lenses are different too, but they arent responsible for the cut off. anywayy UZZ31 1991 Limited 051 Pearl White A01A unfortunately no cool options

AGREED! My car gets a clean once a week and a wax/polish and clay regularly, like today for instance, absolutely shiny and smooth like glass, same goes for HEADLIGHTS!!!

But think about it at the end of the day obviously you see more of the nicer SC running on the Internet now I've been in NY and around the states but mainly in NY for roughly about 2 and a half weeks and I'll be honest for every 6-7 stock standard uncared for SC you'll see a really good one, now I'm not talking about ones that have heaps of money thrown into it, but rather looked aftered. Then again it's easier for them to buy parts over here and importing parts in (from what I'm told). But I reckon for what we have to pay for wheels, oem parts etc. the majority of the members here have done alright with their cars, this is judging from going to meets and photos of other members car. any way that's my view on things

Soarers rock. JZZ30 96 Mazda Red and WRX Black (originally factory black) TRC, ABS, Electric Seats, Sunroof. Just missing the vanity mirrors with lights and the LCD rear view mirror really which I've obtained and is now waiting to be installed. Just need to choose a colour for the new roof lining.. I was thinking dark, dark red but might go with black.
