Hey all,

Just wanted to say hello, my name is Ben, I'm 22 and I picked up my 91 UZZ31 V8 on the weekend.

Pics are on imageshack, but the custom plates have to be returned this week (I think the previous owner, Ben, was a member on here).

I have to say, after owning a '98 Nissan Pulsar Q, an '01 Mitsubishi Magna TJ Sports, and an '07 Mitsubishi 380SX, I have never been as excited and impressed with a car in my life (apart from Dad's Lexus GS430).

Mods so far (by previous owner):
* 18" GMAX Rims (Gutter Rash but getting repaired)
* In-Car Airbag Suspension Controller (Quite a fun little toy)
* Other than that, stock as a rock (i think)

I just love everything about this car. The drive is smooth, the v8 has power, but oozes class. The interior is so comfortable, could do with a few touch ups on the seats, but I'll survive.

Oh and it has done 125,000kms.

So yeah hi to everyone, and does anyone have any suggestions for things to do?

Cheers,

Benj

Yes, get some better wheels, the current ones don't suit the Soarers shape.

I would also bin the cheap chinese lights on the back and front I assume for some decent late model stock ones, you would find the car would look FAR nicer then etc, etc.

A stock 1991 or 1997 style spoiler could be an good idea if you like yours more with one.

Try get a front bumper bottom lip spoiler if yours hasn't got one, transforms the look of the car.

A service would be a good idea, even if the owner said he has just one one, I'd go for Penrite HPR10 , or just a quality 10W40, best to change ever 5000kms and use Japanese made genuine Toyota filters, ideal to do a transmission flush with Toyota Type IV fluid.

Lots of fun to be had with running a Soarer, especially a tidy one which yours looks to be.

Enjoy! :-)

Welcome Ben, I think I seen your car on either trading post or carsales last week or something....glad to hear your wrapped with your purchase. Yeah like Dave said there is a cruise coming up on the 22nd so try and come along if you can, more the merrier! Also first thing I would do on a V8 is the BFI mod on the stock airbox, heres the link:

thats the basic bfi there are better ones like BFI2 & 3.

heres some more:

Cheers guys, yeah I had a look into that BFI but Im not a very good DIY'er but Ill give it a whack this/next weekend.

Mike, cheers for the input, but I quite like the rear lights on it (the headlights are black ones aswell), I think they compliment the dark car quite well.

& as Im going to the UK in a couple of weeks, I kinda dont have the money to change rims, and I kinda like them. Didnt at first but the have grown on me.

I'll really try to make it down to the cruise, it'll be good to see everyones cars, get a few ideas n such.

Cheers
