Hey Guys,
I just signed up for this forum. I don't own a soarer, but I have a Nissan Cefiro and i am in the progress of doing a 1JZGTE conversion to it! I signed up after finding some helpful information on W58's and i am looking to purchase either a W58 or an R154 for my conversion! Great forum. Thanks for having me.

Welcome Tom!
Heaps of great info here too. If your looking to do a manual conversion on the 1J I'd recommend going straight for the R154, depending on what power you're chasing.

Hey Gary,
Thanks for the welcome. I am looking at the R154 as it is a better box. My setup initially will be just a standard 1jz, but future plans are a 3076R and my dream figure is 450hp, my goal is 350hp atw. (Obviously with supporting mods) My rig is a drift machine, and i have been through 2 RB20's and an RB25 so i thought it was time for a change. From what i can gather i need an R154 with a 1jz bell housing and remote shift? I just am having trouble finding one!
Hey mate, good work, throw the Nissan engine away and make good power with the 1J without doing any damage
R154 would be the better way to go, the W58 box won't handle alot of sh!t if you're planning on going all out as well as dumping the clutch and hanging the rear out a bit.

haha. But its getting a heart transplant of a soarer? And i found the site really good for infomation on 1jz's. Thanks for the welcome guys. Thanks Ken for the Link, I only need an R154 box, clutch, flywheel. I have the mounts sorted and i have to get a custom made single piece tailshaft. I will send the seller an email though.
