hi all just thought I'd better make with the formal introductions before i start posting to much. firstly my names Doug, I'm 24 years young and I'm from sleepy little Seymour in the middle of Victoria, and the main stream car population is commodores and falcons. In saying that i presently drive a decent specimen of an afore mentioned commodore so theres not much that can be said there. I am however looking to change this by buying a UZZ31 Soarer. I have a good friend marc that lurks this forum and actually changed my tastes so to speak, who drives a twin turbo 6 Soarer. Enough about cars tho. Anyway as I said, I'm 24, love my music in most forms and variations, I work mornings which most think is a stupid idea but I don't mind it to much. I look forward to buying my first Soarer and meeting some of you that lurk this fine forum and of course making my car a very quick V8.
Welcome mate, good to hear you are upgrading to a Soarer, my mates have commy's and to be quiet honest they fall to bits, good for parts, but quality isn't much on Toyota/Lexus.
I am also trying to make my V8 quick along with making it look really good!
Plenty of information on this forum and alot of good blokes! oh and a few ladies around the place, any way mate, enjoy it and sure I'll see your up-coming future posts on the build up of your car.

Hey Doug.
Great choice in going for the Soarer, 10x the car any old Commy is purely due to exclusivity, there are a few around, but nothing like the amount of V8 Commodores and Falcons.
Put a manual box in and a Supercharger setup + the usual mods and you will have the best possible Cruiser for less than 20k

Thanks Guys funny you should mention that Mike I like the idea of the manual box but I'm not so keen on the Supercharger idea. More interested in going to turbo route and getting this thing moving that way. if anyone's interested in selling me one I'm still looking
