Well its about time I said a proper 'Hello' here and introduce myself...
My name is Jason and I have been a member for a long time and an owner for even longer.
The JZZ31 has been serving me faithfully all these years with only minor issues, but it HAS been 8 years.
The time has come to make a decision; get a new car or update the JZZ31.
I did some research and concluded that there is nothing in my budget that will satisfy me aesthetically and in performance.
It is time for a major overhaul of my baby; well... after 8 years it should be considered an adolescent already
First up, I have decided to do a 2JZ-GTE engine and gearbox conversion.
I would have loved to do it myself but I simply don't have the time, skills and proper facilities to perform the conversion properly.
Contacted a few workshops and settled on one that impressed me the most.
The conversion would also include; - 255lph fuel pump - Custom FMIC - Turbosmart Dual Port BOV - Custom Turbo-back 3 inch Exhaust with CAT and Dual Mufflers
Picture of the Aristo half-cut
As the conversion is in progress, I was also looking around for some additional goodies for my "adolescent".
When I began to search on the net for 'goodies', lady luck seemed to smile on me and I got some really nice bargains.
Within the period of 2 months, I have acquired the following to complete my update of the JZZ31;
Mine's ECU for JZS147
Black Blitz i-Color SBC Spec R with Temperature Sensor (So I don't need extra boost or temperature gauges)
JZZ30 A02B Torsen LSD
JZA80 TT Full Front/Rear Brake Setup with Apexi Rotors and ACRE Stainless Steel Brake Lines
With all the additions updates under the hood, I felt prudent to update the look of the JZZ31 even though in my opinion it looked very good for its age with the subtle bodykit and wheels.
The following items were procured to update the feel and look of the car;
97 Front Bumper with Grille and Foglights
Momo Steering Wheel with new JZA80 96+ Momo Boss Kit
Recaro Speed Driver Seat
It would also be interesting for you guys to know that I procured all these whilst I was away in South Korea for work. I had to arrange most of the items to be delivered to the workshop or to my mate back in Australia.
As I am currently overseas I have no pictures to share but will update my progress when I return to Brisbane early September.
Sorry for the long post... My first very long post... Damn its time consuming...

Cheers Tim. The conversion should be complete by end of the month as the workshop is going over the 2JZ-GTE with a fine comb; replacing all seals, hoses, gaskets, plugs and belts.
I did a lot of research and planning before all my purchases but luck definitely played a part in me getting so many nice stuff in such a short period.
Most of the toys from Japan are arriving around the same time, so I guess the workshop will install them when they hit Brisbane. Plus I also need to get the 97 bumper painted.
I am only in Brisbane for a week and flying back to South Korea for another 3 weeks. I will probably leave the car with the workshop again to get everything done. I guess Mark II of my JZZ31 will be all primed and ready latest by Early October.
As I am not in Australia for these few months, I am not really fussed about the car being off the road.

Almost ready! Can't wait!
Engine and Gearbox in and wiring almost done, just need to confirm final pin outs...
Transmission mount was a bit of a problem but sorted!
Intake pipes still need to get sorted as I need the Turbosmart Dual BOV to be accessible and the pod filter to be boxed up. All metal piping will also be painted black to UN-BLING the engine bay.
Greddy FMIC is also in... Fits Perfect! Only a little cutting of the plastic needed.
LSD is also in... But waiting for the custom drive shaft as the 3 bolt style from the Aristo Gearbox is different from the 3 bolt from the LSD! One is 95mm one is 105mm!
Brakes are also in! Calipers, Rotors and Brake lines... My wheels cleared the 4 piston calipers by 20+mm!!! My wheels rock!
Exhaust getting fabricated at the moment.
I had bought a passenger Supra seat to match the Recaro, but I came across a deal I couldn't refuse. My Recaro found a mate!
Custom mats arrived too!
Soon!!! I am like a kid waiting for Xmas! Updates soon...

Additional pictures...
New Nose fits perfectly over the new FMIC, paint yet to go on but you get the point. I reckon its gonna look awesome after its all done, the clear blinkers have not been transferred from the old nose...
Supra Calipers clearance issues? What issues? I love my wheels...
After the wheels went on, I thought the gold calipers were too attention grabbing and don't match the overall look of the car. The calipers will be painted black to be a little stealthy soon.
Will have more updates next week! Hopefully dyno will be done next week too, will be interesting to see the difference the Mine's ECU makes.
I saw your car Jason when I went to a dyno day. At the time the engine was out with a list of things to do on the seat. Didn't realise it was a members car.

UPDATE: Everything ground to a halt recently because the custom tailshaft cannot be fabricated due to the special flange needed to match up to the Aristo Gearbox.
Finally found one last Friday and it took us more than a month to find an Aristo tailshaft!!!
Hopefully this will mean everything will be done next week. Keeping my fingers crossed...
Anyway some pictures of the new exhaust to keep my hunger at bay. Magnaflow Mufflers with high-flow cat...

Wow, its been a mission...
Everything is sorted BAR; - no tacho reading in cluster (solution MSD tacho adapter) - aircon compressor clutch not engaging (solution 0.5A high sensitivity relay wired to reverse polarity so the ground signal from ON/OFF button can trigger relay for 12V to clutch) - paint guards and bonnet to blend in new front bar
Engine runs strong with the MINE's ECU but very rich at the top end. Resulted in only 213+rwkw, Still respectable I guess...
Will get a SAFC Neo next year to sort the AF ratio and hopefully should see another 15-20kw.
The engine is super responsive because of the MINE's ECU and boost comes on at 2600rpm and surges; ebc set at 1bar with safety level @ 15psi from the Blitz.
Very close now... next week I can drive it back and clean it thoroughly and update the interior with carpets and interior bits.
Some pics but its still very dirty both outside and the engine... Dirty Car
Dirty Engine Bay
Once everything is all clean and nice I will update with good pics...

Been on Holidays and now seconded to Sydney. So have not been able to take good pics. UPDATE: - The Apexi AFC Neo went in for tuning as the Mine's ECU was rich as... - Transmission Cooler went in, in preparation for the new radiator - After tuning, it made 220rwkw @ 14psi(retaining sequential system). I don't intend to run higher boost for reliability sakes.
Will make sure I get some pics with the SLR when the 55mm Stealth(Black)PWR aluminum radiator gets put in next week or week after.

Been a while. Will have an update with pictures soon of new stuff
Meanwhile I drove the Monaco F1 Circuit on GT5 in the Soarer modified to my spec. (not exactly but in terms of power, handling, etc) The only difference was I had put on slicks to get a respectable time... 1 min 47 seconds.
