Here are some new pics of the project. Its still very much in progress at the moment. I have just decided on injector choose and have gorn for a 630cc injector (coming in the post from the usa as i type)
Still need to tidy up some vacumm lines, fit air filter, plumb catch can in and refit 2jzge distributor with a a custom rotor cap and wires. I have fitted a 4 runner (3vze) distributor cap with custom spark plug wires.
The car was running fine with emanage blue and a emanage pressure sensor.
I now need and have coming a new distributor as i dropped mine on the ground when changing the O ring. This chipped a bloody tooth off the dizzy shaft. Will post more pics up when finished.
Just quickly Mark, how did you mend the 2J top end with the GE bottom end? If you don't mind me asking how much the first setup with the factory GE top cost? I have a mate looking at this setup, cheers.

As Aaron said Christian its only the 2jzgte cam covers. The plenum is a 2jzge after market one and the exhaust manifold is designed for the 2jzge aswell.
The 2jzgte manifolds will not fit.
Cost? Thats a good question....
It would probably be cheaper and less a pain in the ass to buy a jzz30 with a 1jzgte to be honest. Iv owned a 1jz soarer and figured it was time for some thing a little different.
It cost me about a $1000 for the turbo setup.
on top of that you'll need a after market ecu, because the jzz31 ecu will and cannot read boost pressure and will go into limp mode(im using a emanage with a pressure sensor to read boost)
You'll need injectors as the pissy 330cc injectors are and a fuel pump.

Hi guys just a update on my soarer.
I have recently purchased a new engine for my baby. Im not doing a lot of work to the new engine just a bit of a freshen up.Here is a list:
1.3 cometic head gasket new head studs all top end gaskets (have a rebuilt kit) front and rear main seals timing belt water pump new flywheel
I am all so knocking up and new plenum for this engine.
was thinking of going na with this engine, but i have spent a huge amount of time on getting the turbo to run nicely. Is still on the cards but not likely.lol.

ok just a update: I have a purchased a hks copy fuel rail from a 2jzgte.The injector holes are spaced the same distance as the 2jzge but the mounting points are different, not to worry but as the lower runners are being modified anyway.
