hi there gents/ladies
i've been in western australia for a couple a years now (relocated from the u.k) and have just purchased a 1991 uzz31 limited. the car is pretty much in A1 condition in and out. i live in a remote part of w.a and the 9.5 hour drive back from perth went like a dream. due to my remote location (leonora, about 2.5 hours north of kalgoorlie) you may say its not a very practical car to own out this way but i've loved soarers for a while. the only two problems that i have with it are the touch screen has power to it but is blank so it does not work, i have been told i need to buy some sort of adapter for it, and the car is loosing engine coolant fluid when the engine is running which suggests i may need a new pump. could anyone advise me on the best place to get mail order parts for soarers in australia if and when i need them, and also advise me on what i need to do to get my touch screen working?
many thanks.
paul.}

Paul.
A little bit of practice with the shift key will be appreciated.
You can get parts freighted from most Toyota dealers, Castle Hill in NSW is popular, though I tend to get better prices from CMI in Adelaide. Make sure to mention Soarer Central when talking with either place.
The leaking coolant usually leaves a visible trail where it leaks, unless it is only water in your radiator. Changing the pump is a big job, so make sure that is the problem first.

Welcome mate, EVM could be hard to fix. best is to just replace it. I don't think a 2nd hand one will cost that much, they come up for sale on this forum all the time.

Many thanks for the tips and information folks. I am fortunate to have some good mechanics in the area due to the large road train operation based just outside of town, and rumour is, one of them is ex Toyota so maybe an added bonus so will get it looked at as soon as possible. The coolant fluid seems to be leaking out of a small machined hole at the bottom of the engine, almost directly under the belts which suggests maybe a new pump. Anyway, thanks once again and I'll try and get some photos up in the near future!
