Merry Xmas all. I am a new member and have an error code 42 on my 93TT. ( Speed sensor error). I am new to your site ect and hope I am posting in the rite area to get a response. The car is basically std with a nice mandrell bent exaust system and 13lb of boost. Has any one had this error before and if so could u give me some info on what needs to happen. Eg new sensor?

Welcome to SC David.
A couple of tips, drop the SMS speak "rite", U" etc, and try the Search facility. There is also a wealth of information in the ALSC Archive (which is also searchable).
Failing that, hopefully someone will have some helpful answers for you.

Thanks for the tips pete, I have searched this area but do not understand what the diagnosis is trying to tell me. I think the archive post was one of yours. Will keep trying to work it out. Ta for quick response.
