Since i'v had this car i'v done alot of work and tidying up.

-put the inside back together, new door panels and a good clean.
-turbo conversion.really suprised how much better it went but would still like a 2jzgte conversion.
-exhaust and twin canons with silencers as the kids come out for weekend drives.lol.
-pedders rear lowered suspension, koni adjustable front coilovers with toms springs front.
-new water pump, timing belt and head gasket.

o does any one know this car from victoria?
had skulls air brushed on bonnet when i got it,1 passenger vertex copy side skirt and broken rear lip.

mate! Nice car. Love the turbo kit. I looked into it with my previous jzz31 but it was too expensive. Got dyno sheets or taken it on the quarter?

May be better to work on the 2jz-ge nat then drop the gte in now youve come this far

Hmmm.. Has this car been repainted? I would have thought a green soarer would have a green interior. I'm confused.

yeah I was thinking the same thing actually, not about the repaint but I thought it was odd that a green soarer would have a beige interior.....I only thought beige came in pearl white and gold coloured Soarers...weird

I believe the interior colour was totally optional regardless of exterior colour. My car is Wine Red Mica, and it has the "ivory" interior too.

no it must be the original colour,as i had some paint made up at my local paint shop to paint the bonnet and i used the paint code to get the colour.

I havn't had it on the dyno yet.It needs a bigger fuel pump, fuel pressure Regulator and maybe a apexi safc. But im looking ford to getting it tuned and to see what sort of power it puts out

Yer i was unsure of the cream interior when i first purchased it,but i has now grown on me.
My last soarer was spruce interior and it seemed a bit closed in when you were sitting in there.
This colour seems to give the affect of more room.lol

Its just a cheap just jap racing 430 internal gated turbo.I was going to put my garrett gt3040 off my jzz30 onto it,but due to finacial commitments it had to go

I will go a bigger and better turbo when the fuel system and spark are up to the task.
I tried to get a fairly neat look of being standard. At first it was just for and giggles and now i might keep progress ahead.it took me about a month of planning and sourcing parts. Then it only took a few days to install.

yer Aaron its a garrett gt30 series.

It has .70 front housing and a .63 rear housing.

The rear might be a little restrictive, but i dont mind to much as it should come on boost a little earlier than a larger rear housing.

Im just waiting on my exhaust manifold to come back from having the flange welded on for turbosmart gate.
I now have a e manage with a 3 bar map sensor
fitted so i can finally get a good tune when its finished.

George- I find it interesting to under take such a project myself. There are not alot of soarers if any on this forum with 2jzge turbo engine.

In america supras, sc300 and some aussie guys with supras have proven this to be worth while.

I'm happy how this engine responded to a turbo charger.

you will still make 270-300rwkw on 20psi with that turbo hopefully.. wont have as much in top end as others but you will hit boost very very hard and fast haha

WOW...270-300 rwkw sounds dam sweet!
I'll be happy with 200rwkw, anymore is a bonus.

I still need to uprade those tiny 330cc injectors to go with a bosch 040 pump.

I know injectors are cheap from america ebay.

Does any one know of a good injector upgrades for a 2jzge?

with the 2J And a turbo that size you will have problems controlling boost with that 38mm turbosmart wastegate. I had a turbosmart 38mm gate on my single setup and upgraded to a tial MVR44 gate as the turbosmart boost creeped in the revs up and over 25psi at times.

Tial MVR44 holds as steadyt 7 psi if i want it now :-)

Scott- I realised that after ready a thread about your car a few weeks back.

Will be running a max of 12psi for now and see how it holds up.

Another reason why i have this gate is that i got it cheap off a friend of myn.

Every thing pictured only cost me around $1200!
and its all pretty good gear, so im pretty happy with it all atm.

Hey scott do you know if i would have a problem running 2 38mm wastegates?

I figure instead of paying $800 odd for a pro gate or alike I could just purchase another 38mm gate.

Welding the flanges onto the manifold is not a problem, I just wondered if there would be any problems controlling boost.

I think you would have a problem where one or the other would open, not both simultaneously (acting as one large gate which I assume you're after). Controlling it would be a nightmare.

mate i bought a tial MVR44 mm gate and nothing but praise, the quality is better than the turbosmart i had and the price was GOOD, about $410 landed at my door from NZ.

I thought about going twin 38s but space was a big deciding factor.

Ben the gates will open simultaniusly, remember there both getting there pressure source from the manifold and will open and shut the gates simultaniously as long as you run the same gates and they have the same internal spring pressures

the just jap turbo was only $199 and not even worth the steel it was made from to be honest.
It was really a waste of time, but it give me enough reason to keep going ahead to a better turbo.

I was only running it at 7 psi because at that time my emanage wasnt fitted.

The manifold is a cheapy and it cracked ( welds)within a month.

The conversion only cost me about $500.
Dump pipe, manifold, turbo and oil lines.

I already had the intercooler and piping other parts needed.

I have my plenum on now and will post some pics over the weekend
