Got my soarer about 6 months ago for $2,500 off a mate and it had the usual soarer problems (coil pack connectors, coil packs and brake accumulator needing regassing).

Got new iridium spark plugs, new coil pack connectors and new coil packs.

Got some boot struts off a fellow member here, and am in the process of replacing them - having a hard time (after removal of old ones) putting a new right hand side strut on (it appears to be off by a few millimetres) so if anyone has any hints! The left went on fine!

There may be a little clip over the boot hinge with a rubber stopper on it. remove that and then retry... it should allow a few extra mm of extension which should get it on.

obviously replace the stopper once your done
