It would be a headache just taking off the turbos and getting it to run, but anything can be done. Getting headers & exhaust made up, and then getting the engine tuned to run without the turbochargers.
dropping in a 2JZ-GE is a good idea

stoopid crappy laws we have over here in many states to make P platers work harder at killing themselves in cars.
Sounds like hard work for no performance gain, but can completely understand wanting to drive the car you own. You could do it by simply removing the turbos and having a set of headers made up. It would drive like a bit of a pig- more Landcruiser Troopy than Soarer I'd imagine. Maybe doing a computer reset would be enough to allow it to drive OK, but you performance would be the 'off boost' feeling at best.
All the above is just a guess, and I have no knowledge of what your rego authorities would accept. You could run into EPA/rego issues because you have modified the engine etc.
How long to go on the Ps? Possible to buy a to drive around in and just do some work on the Soarer until then?

I'll start looking around for a 2jz and find some more options. I don't really care for perfomance gain as i'm on my P's. The soarer is just a nice car to it in and very cruisey and well built. Ive got less then 2 years on my P's. ive got a runnerbout and my soarer is just chilling in the sun

Mate congrats on getting the soarer! I think you'll have a better chance of getting an exemption! I've got a mate that did that down here in Vic and he can drive a turbo under the laws! Worth a shot

I was looking at an NA soarer before the dude wanted 3K and it had double the milage and the starter motor was screwed.
Cheers man i was thinking of applying for that but they are pretty strict on the form. it goes very into detail. I like how the legal limit is 200KW on your P's and the twin turbo makes 206KW lol only cause of it being turbo :/
