Hi all,

Just dropped in to introduce myself.

I just picked up a white Soarer TT on Christmas eve as a present to myself (with approval from the fiance).

Picked it up for $6000 with 73,000km's on the clock (probably not genuine).

This is the second Soarer I have owned, I had one about 5 years ago when I was a P plater, but then got a company car so it was sold.

Anyway the list of things to do is as follows

Change wheels from 19" down to 18" to pass roadworthy/make it legal.****DONE****

Install standard air box to replace Apexi intake.
Install new Upper control arms
Install new Lower control arm bushes
Steering rack bushes
Possibly new springs as the currents are a bit squeaky.
Replace cracked rear bar with a Vertex
Replace front bar with a Vertex
Already have side skirts.

Car is overheating a little, I changed the thermostat which did nothing. Next is probably a radiator and waterpump.

It gets up to normal temp in about 3-4 mins, then stays there for about 15 before it starts creeping up as far as two notches.

Any ideas?

A/C compressor is stuffed, mechanic tried to get it going, it was not moving. We revved the car and turned the A/C on which got the pump moving after about 10 goes but after it turns on the A/C light starts blinking after about 4 seconds and it shuts off.

Any ideas?

Currently the car has a FMIC and 3" turbo back exhaust.

I removed a bleed valve which I did not spot till after I bought the car, makes me worry it was boosted, but the turbo's sound OK and I will be sticking to stock boost so hopefully the turbo's are OK.

I have already setup a 7" screen to replicate what my iPhone screen shows, it also plays audio through the speakers.

Check it out in the ICE section and on Youtube.

Your car looks nice! Welcome man. I'm a fan of the stock clean look. Otherwise the rest of your mods look good. If you put the stock airbox back on, it'll reduce the power a little if it hasn't had the BFI done to it. Performance wise, a FMIC and a 3inch turbo back exhaust sound good, I'm sure it shifts quite hard as it is.
Maybe get a boost gauge (if you don't have one) so you can monitor how much boost your turbos are currently producing?

Thanks.

Yeah I have a boost gauge, it's making a bit over 0.5 bar with the bleed valve removed.

I would prefer a PSI gauge that only goes up to about 14psi. The 1.5 bar boost gauge is pretty hard to read.

I will do the BFI, probably next week when I get the plates on the car etc.
