I have to thank my Fiance for convincing me to purchase the Soarer. In October last year, I was looking for a 4 door car because we have a baby. I wanted to get a Crown, but I couldn't stop talking about the Soarer. She told me to get the Soarer, because the Crown looked like a drug dealers car, and she had read all the positive reviews of the Soarer online.
I loved the Soarer from the moment I punched the gas, and got sucked back into my seat in 3rd gear. When I looked at the speedo, and realized I was easily doing 110 KM/H in 3rd gear and the car still wanted more, I was in love. Totally sweet car.
The car is such a blast to drive, even in Saskatchewan. As you may have heard, we do not believe in curves, or topographical relief in Saskatchewan, just straight and flat. Unfortunately our highest speed limit is 110 km/h. I cannot wait to take the drive to see my sister in Vancouver, because I bet the mountain road will be a thrill.
I am not too sure what has been done to the engine, if anything other than the K&N filter I dropped in it. It has some kind of aftermarket rims (of which I cannot pronounce, or locate the brand online) and a pretty big spoiler in the back. The interior is in super shape, except for the left side dash has some epoxy and glue on it from where the GPS was mounted. I will try and scrape that off in the spring. There are 2 spots over 2 of the wheels where the paint rubbed off, probably in shipping, but no body damage otherwise.
I haven't had much chance to poke around under the hood, as it gets pretty cold, and dark early in the saskatchewan winters, and I have not built my garage yet. When it stops snowing I will post some pictures of my car.
I plan on replacing parts with performance parts, as the factory parts wear out. My first move will probably be the exhaust system. Not sure if I want to replace the manifold too, but I will see. Next I am thinking about the clutch, because I think it might need replacing in the next year. Brakes too.
I know there is one other Soarer GT-T in Saskatoon, at least 1 SC300 and I saw a SC400 the other day. Shout out if you guys are on here. I am looking for other drivers in Saskatchewan, because I am going to need advice on where to get parts.
This forum is a wealth of knowledge, and the police are doing a great job of keeping it clean and organized. (I got in trouble on my first post.) I have learned so much on this forum, and I know that I will continue to learn.
