Hey guys, thought it's about time to say my hellos.
Im very new to the Import & Turbo scene, but not to the Toyota scene.
All 3 cars Ive ever owned have all been Toyota, starting with my AE92 Corolla, which i wrote off, cause someone thought they'd stop right after a blind corner and i came flying around it at 100k's. But as the lame law is, you hit from behind, it's your fault. My 2nd car, in which i still technically own, a very tidy 96 Gen3 Camry. and now for my 3rd car, first import and first turbo, my green 91 TT Soarer.
Ill put some pictures up of it a bit later on. Bought it from Lismore, and i live 10 hours away on the South Coast of NSW.
She's fairly stock, just minor bits and pieces, like boost gauge, boost T, which i wound down immediately, headunit and sub, rims, a front set of king springs and a leaking exhaust :/.
I only bought it last week, and i work at my local Toyota dealership as a detailer, a run over with the claybar, cut back and polish, degrease the engine bay, wetvac the seats and carpet, to find out that from previous Soarers that had been through the dealership, that the fabric the seats and carpet are made of are a wetvacs worst dream. they clean up nicely, then once they dry the dirt rises to the top, and the more and more you try to clean it, the worse it gets. ahh well, clean it as much as i could, then chucked some floor matts in it.
Plans for the future are already in play/being booked, have a 3" catback to resonator to 2.5" split to mufflers to tips to go on on Tuesday, and a mongoose m60 alarm system and sony 6" dvd screen to be installed Wednesday, doing a check & service Wednesday arvo/night, oil, coolant, the sway bar link pins to be replaced, the rear king springs to be put in and the drive belt to be changed. Currently negotiating with another member of the forum for several interior parts, and my interior trims are beyond fubar. steering wheel is almost gone, handbrake sleeve is shocking, handbrake and shifter are falling apart, the door trim barely stays together, im just picky so yeah hahaha.
Anyways, anything else you'd like to know, go ahead and ask
Thanks, and look forward to chatting with you guys on the forums.
