Hi, Picked up this money pit a couple months ago though I'd sign up as I'm probably going to be in this for the long run. So I'm in Auckland New Zealand and I've got a 96 jzz31 and it has already become a money pit destroying an alternator in the first month of owning it and requiring a new heater control valve in the first fortnight, now to stop complaining about it. So as you can see (hopefully) its black and its got a black interior (truth be told i only like black interiors in Soarer's) it's quite untidy on the exterior having been owned by a boy racer and an old lady who was over 70, but it's getting new paint at the end of the year and possibly a vertex body kit i don't know for sure (would be happy with a face lift kit but it seems more expensive) and in the future could be looking at a 2JZ-GTE swap. Ok so I do sound a little boy racer but really all I want is a clean car that's a little different from the rest not for racing all the ricers on the street

Hi Leon and to the show.

I have seen your Soarer before, (I think, ex Lower Hutt?).

Black on black Soarers do look good.
Body kit and GTE engine swap.. sounds expensive.
Heaps of info on this site, so get stuck in.

Black soarers always look tough. Was your car from welly or from Tauranga?
I've often thought the jzz31 would be the cheapest motoring of all the soarers, with a bullet proof motor, and not enough power to destroy the drivetrain.
And (if you want to move away from the cheap motoring)they come with a free 3 litre engine, which with its 10:1 compression ratio is ideal for a turbo PLUS E85 for excellent power everywhere :-)

I don't know where it came from I know the last 3 owners were in Auckland.
Yeah I like black z30's the only ones I would have.
I'm influenced by my mate on the whole 2JZ-GTE (VVTI) as my mate is doing a 2JZ-GTE R154 conversion for his A70 supra but I probably will keep it auto as its cheaper.

I'm sure Luxury Sports in Penrose does a Vertex style kit. Will fit and paint it too.

Haven't seen a Auto Couture kit for sale in NZ.
There were some AC copies made for a group buy on this site, but it turned to sh1t for a few of the buyers.
One or two of the members that did receive their kits have on sold them.
AC are a nice bit of kit.

@Evan Kaio are you saying that the copy was bad and/or the people just mucked around?
Luxury Sports do have the whole auction going for fitting and painting but i think they don't have any more Soarer kits (someone asked the question and they said they didn't have any)

I think the fitment of the AC kit was very good.
The person who started the GB did a runner and didn't send out all the kits.

What would be the freight to NZ, Josh.
Did you ever fit the kit?
