Hi guys, I can see this site being a great resource for me!

I've just bought a twin turbo SC300, mainly to go to work and back while I have repairs done on my Patrol and I'm without a car. But in the mean time I will tidy it up and either keep it as a second car or sell it off.

When I bought the car I didn't like the wheels, so I've found some nice 18's for it, the interior was tatty and had broken bits so I'm sourcing parts to repair broken bits. I think I have them all now. I'll be fitting a blow off valve and boost gauge, a new double din radio, removing the factory volume knob and filling in the hole, probably throwing a few LED globes inside. Just general stuff to make my interior more comfortable.

I've had some dramas with my rear lights. I got some Supra style lights with the car, which I was told were LED. I fitted them and immediately got the fast blink and stoplight errors. I fitted resistors with no change.

Anyway this weekend I had a better look. They're not LED's. And I didn't have globes in the reverse or brake/tail globe holders, despite the packaging saying all globes included. eBay huh! I fitted globes but still have stoplight warning and fast flash. My original harnesses have been hacked up so I'll repair those over the next few days and fit a standard style light. I like the look of the rear lights but I'd rather not have dash errors and fast blinkers.

My next project is to fit smoked front lights, then eventually have the car sprayed.

No doubt I'll be here looking for advice soon.

With the brake light warning, im not sure if you have the brake light in the back window of the car, or if you have the wiper. If you have the brake light, check to see if its working too, that can also trigger the warning.

to fix the fast flash you need to change a cap in the flasher unit.

Thankyou guys, I'll get to it, but in the mean time I will refit clear/red lenses with 3 blinker gloves a side while I gather components and time to do it. I can live with the fast blink, I actually like it, but the brake light warning annoys me,

I have a rear wiper, no rear stop light, but the new lights have only one dual filament stop tail and one T10 wedge for parkers so that is the issue.

Tomorrow I will be removing the front bar, swapping lights with halo smoked type ones and fitting the new mags.

I've also decided I will be covering the bonnet in carbon fibre vinyl as the clear is peeling off an it looks rubbish. It spoils the whole look of the car. I also have ordered carbon B pillar covers so it will tie in nicely. It's only temporary, my father in law is a spray painter and I'd much rather have a nice deep green shiny car than a sticker on the bonnet however, when it comes to looking crap, or looking decent, I don't have a short term option.

I will also be de badging the car and I'll place one TRD badge on the right rear.

I'll check out your links now for the fixes, Tom, thanks.
